Today saw the launch of Wireplay's latest service. ClanCentre.

This feature is designed specifically for clans. It allows easy management of clans, online shared clan diary, personal diary. Public and private forums for clans, ability to arrange and schedule matches with other clans.
This site will become every clan's first stop to any Wireplay league; as all leagues and competitions will be done using the details in this site.
I need people to use this site and report any feedback (good is welcome too!) back to either this thread, or to dash@wireplay.co.uk. Any suggestions, any additions, let me know.
To be in a clan, or setup a clan you need to be registered with these forums, you can use your current details to login to the site.
Any problems ask an op in #wireplay on Quakenet.

oohh... lots of toys to play with on there :)
Seems quite wizzy, and I have set up a clan, added a member, created a forum, posted, all seems to work so far.
Now... if only I had friends :(
Course, I have seen some of your intentional flaws.
[1] I get the same 2 errors on every single page.
Does everyone else? For example:

(I am using IE6 on Win98.... stop laughing!)
[2] Player Search don't work as described.
"Enter in part of full username for somebody, and click on search."
If I type "cu" it finds nowt.
If I type "Cust" it finds Cust but still not Custodian. (Cust aint logged in since 1970, 19 years before he registered in 1999, but that's another story :rolleyes: )
I have to type "Custodian" to find Custodian.
I might try breaking it later, see if it lets me do stoopid things.

The error you keep getting should now be fixed, I hope. I am on my laptop atm and don't have IE. I'll check it's gone later on my PC tomorrow.
I've improved the search, but forgot to change the text!
It now works with wildcards. The following searches will return Dash:
dash
d?sh
??sh
d*sh
da*
*ash
etc
* = any number of any characters
? = single character

Clan search hasn't been switched over yet.
I was working on a list clans, no idea what happened with that. I think I went along the lines of if the site becomes really popular, then it would just be too much data.
Yes, you will be able to do a * search, but all these searches will be limited to 50 responses due to keeping server load acceptable.
The poll should be working now. I think you just caught it when I was outputting debug messages to the screen.

Why when I search for a member to find their ID do I get no results, even if I search for * ?
There is a bug in Internet Explorer meaning you cannot submit a form with just one input box by pressing enter, you have to click on submit.
Although I've worked out a way round this, I have yet to impliment it yet.
Need a way to enter results, and also edit/delete calander events.
I'm working on a results/match history piece at the moment.
Completely forgot about calender editing and deleting. I'll try and add that sooner rather than later, thx.

Under the games that the clan plays TrueCombat doesn't seem to appear there.
TC added, ability to edit/delete calender events has also been added.

On the Manage Clan Server page (once clicked on my clan name) I get the error:

Manage servers page fixed.
The match reports isn't finished yet, I uploaded an index with it on the menu by mistake. I've taken it off for now until it's finished.
I have just added "match history". This allows clans to enter in the results of their clan matches, friendly, league, whatever to keep a log. If the other clan is registered with clancentre it will link with them too, so it appears in both your profiles.
Check the bottom of clan profiles for the history.

when trying to register my JKJA clan on the clan centre, it seems that the 'clan tag' and the 'clan moto' are too long... they dont fit in the textboxes...
our clan has no official tag as we consist out of 2 divisions, so i'd have to mention both of those tags. ([KEJF] & [KESF])
and our moto is a quote. (Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.)
also, at country.. it seems i have to pick 'Europa Island'.... wouldnt it be easier to write 'Europe'?
furtherwise, a very nice website in both design and coding. clan centre seems a good idea to me, though i hope the server renting thingy will not give problems with the (1 hour max per clan per day) free JK2 and JKJA clan servers.
You will have to create two clans for your two seperate divisions I'm afraid. This is something we thought about and decided this would be the best option.
I might be able to include a bridge/link system to "partnership" clans. Which might work. Clan members can be in any number of clans, so there is no problem in having them in both.
As for clan motto, I will have a look at extending the length.
Europe isn't a country, it's a continent :) You'll have to pick one. Although I can see your point, I'll think about adding regions for International clans.
Thank you for your input and comments, it's appriciated. The server rental is full scale server hire. Not bookable slots. This is for clans who want to have their own clan server through Wireplay.

well, we are only 1 clan to be honest... but we kinda work with 2 divisions (Jedi and Sith). and we also do our clan matches (and everything else) as 1 clan in stead of 2 seperate divisions.
as for the country part... its kinda hard to pick a country if the clanmembers are scattered all over europe. originally, it was founded by someone from finland, but i dont think it would be fair towards the other members to select finland...
and ok, europe is a continent.. but what is 'europe island' then?

Europa Island is a small tropical French island off the coast of South Africa, containing an airstrip and a weather station, and some trees.
I would be surprised if any gamers actually come from there.

Latest additions to ClanCentre.
A few bugs have been fixed in some things here and there. Such as actually installing the match history table so clans can now record their match history.
I have also added a match report system. Allowing people to write reports on matches they have been in recently. As well as upload screen shots from the matches. Or if you have demos link them in from other hosts.
We cannot host demos because they take up too much space.
Please give this a whirl, let me know of any bugs etc.
Is there gonna be greater support for Q3 mods in the future? ;)

I remember something like this a long long time ago.
Once NSR are back playing again I will see if we can run this alongside the website.
