can any tell me what happend in mirc in Nov,26,2003
time : 11:06 (+2:00 israel time) :?

evry1 logd in and out but evry1 in the same time in all wireplay channals (#wireplay ,#wpfl) :S

this what it sad :
* L has quit IRC (*.net *.split)
to evry 1 but whis there on name not L ;)

It was a "netsplit".

Quakenet is made up of multiple servers all across Europe, these are all connected together and share information and users. Each server can only handle 5000 or so users, so they have to be linked.

When the synchronisation between the servers is disrupted, either by a server or a hub disconnecting you get a netsplit. Resulting in people appearing to disconnect from the server.
