Tournament Event:Last man standing

hi all

I am orgenzing a tournament that you all mighty fighters could try to wint it!

Prize: 1000000$

Date: Monday 09.02.04
Time: 22:00GMT

Rules:

1) No cheating/moding of any kind, all suspecions will be delivered to the admins with screen shoots!

2) No respawning you got one time chance only, if you die you are out of the tournament!

3) The last person who stands alive take the 1mil$

4) using nanos/bats and missles/mines/CD/CM/torpedos all kinds of money ammo is alowed and even encoureged!

5) no f1 using, you use it once you are out!
( if you for any reason leave the game no matter what u will be disqualified) if u get back and start fighting u will be banned from other tournaments.

6) Any player fleeing out of the "war zone" will be disqualified

7) all players must group at 22:00 in fp9 at Omicron theta so they would be scaned by me so I can confirm they are not cheating

8 ) after scaning (22:15-22:30) all will go to certain sector omicron theta where the battle shall begin, all ships must be inside the sector not more than 4k away from me, all will hold still till I say "goooooooooo" i will be looking at my radar all the time anyone disapers from my radar and gets back will be disquelified!


9) anyone arives after 22:15GMT can not join the battle.

10) judges decisions are final!
anyone who had been disqualified and did not leave the sector he will be banned from all other tournaments!

11) for any reasons like alot of red-lag the tournamet will be repated later!

plz respect the rules and the tournament its not about money or wining its just for fun!

The Event:

should start at 21:00, it will be random battle just for fun every one respawn at fp9 and keep fighting tell 22:00.

I will the judge and hope [Admin]ShadowKnight or any other wireplay officials could help.

I might recrute judges later to help me.

but I hope that we all have fun and enjoy the tournament event.

so we will support another 2 mils for top fighter that would be 5 mils in total.

im up for it, the only problem i can see is the 'not straying 4k away rule' think u should widen this a bit, when ur leathering ur ship around its very easy to stray 4k

I took the insparation from this idea, from WWF (last time I watched WWF was in 1999) every year they had this big even
"Role and Rumble" or something like it, where all the wreslers gets on the ring/rings the same time and fight each other randomly sometimes its 1 wresler joins every 1 min ..

hopefully this even will let us know each other more, and test our skill in a crazy fight where every one is your enemy and mostly have alot of fun.

guys you still can duel each other before and after the battle;)

I am sure that the tournament winner wont hold unbeten for 10 min if he starts dueling cuase everyone will just want to beat him.
I hope that some of the top ranked winners would give me the honer to duel them first since I wont be part of the battle.

Mayteks: welcome m8, this is for fun and its made for all wireplay players, hope we will have good time.
maybe you can later suggest other kinds of events and help making them!

Macross: the rule of "4k" made due to that the radar does not show more than 5k, but I wont disqualify any players who get over it, its just if someone do it alot (I will be watching Nav Map zoomed on the sector) so if I see that someone is running and keeping his energy for the end of the battle he will be disqualified, since its the first time we do this I will be very large and flexibal as much as the fair play alows.

macros tell me why someone would need to stray more than 4k?
unless he is waiting for his shield to come back or just to be in a safe corner?

its not football field there no drawn white lines but there is logical lines.


be sure that if someone gets disqualified specialy for this reason and continue fighting he will have a good bounty on his head so his cowardnes and disrespect to fair play and other players will be knowned to all, but as for the battle itslef he will be considered as any NPC.


if someone got better idea how to keep every one in the "war zoon" plz tell me about it!

Since when was trying to get a bit of clear space in order to get your shields up considered as cowardly and disrepectful to fair play? If you are out of batts, and you manage to shake an attacker off your tail in order to recharge, you are a GOOD pilot. (Maybe this explains why you say I run around a lot when we duel.. my general rule is to try not to attack someone unless I have at least half shields) ;)

Also, I can forsee a scenario where the battle spreads out.. and maybe you have 2 sub battles going on, gradually moving apart.. each with a pack of players in them. You can't stop this if it happens due to the natural progression of the battle. But it could still mean some players disappear off of your radar.

Just a couple of points to ponder :)

I said if he get disqualified and keeps playing, and if someone is just escaping any fighting and waiting for other players to kill each other for sure you wont consider this fair and if every one would do the same there wont be any fighting!

your strategy is ok as long when u see you are getting to far you should head back specialy when there is no one attacking you.

thats why I am thinking of making the battle near planet pygar so if anyone gets far away from it (I will use the nav map zoomed on the sector) nav map zoomed means at least 10k Area.

here is what I think about it Speedfreak.

when in a duel, u should beat ur opponent with ur skill, not by use a sneaky idea to wait shield come back.

I personally won't use it, but I know I can and as any1 can do it in duel.

Think about it! If u shooting some1, and he did it then u do too.
How long will it last? forever I say, and that's not in duel not for skill challanging fight. beat up ur opponent with ur skill, but u can use it in combat :E

The skill is in NOT LETTING HIM GET AWAY to recharge... doh!

So, it seems on the wireplay server, the hardcore, few-rules server.. you are considered a coward, an unfair player, and sneaky - if you try to break away from your opponent to let your shields recover.

And we aren't talking about duelling anyway. This isn't a lame duel with silly rules, this is combat, use all batts and bots and what you want... nobody mentioned a duel in this thread.

sorry that I am not able to replay or read many posts here or on other posts.

but I got final exam on another 2 days and another one next sunday.

I think in friday I will be online and make few testing for some ideas.


I am glad that I wont be fighting on next monday since I do not have time to practice :)

but the truthe I would like being regular play than being judge who will just watch all the action :(

about the "war zone" limits

I have decided:

after meeting and fp9 and scaning all the players

every one select planet pygar on there nav map
we head there each player take a position around the planet
and wait the signale for "gooooooooo" if anyone gets to far from the planet (easy to see) will get warned if does not come back in 20-30sec he will be disqulified.

in order that judges can monitor the battle in a better way all players (group/s of players) will be grouped with a judge (or more) so the judge could see them in the radar an on the nav map more than 5k.


if I see that some player is fleeing and I check teh nap zoomed on teh planet (that means the planet is on the middle of the sector) and see that the player is far near the edge of the sector and is heading away he will be getting disqualified for sure (the distance is at least 10k from the planet )

all playes who dies, must not come back to the sector, cause this might confuse the players who are still fighting.

judges are like players for any reason any judge even me got disconected from the server fighting continue as long as there is at least one judge out there :)
