What are the rules???

The only rule mentioned is no player killing in New York and California.

So.... That means that Dock-killing is allowed? The rules don't prohibit it.
Then there's the question of Batts and Botts.... I've been told off for using them, but there's no mention that they're against the rules. (i've also been told that you can't just haul-off and shoot at someone without warning, but it's amazing how many people do just that)

Things like this need to be cleared-up, as currently it's a case of "outside New York and California ANYTHING is allowed", but there seem to be unmentioned, unoffical rules that new players only find out about when they break them, although these seem to be made, and enforced, by other players.

So, could someone explain what the OFFICIAL rules are that everyone must follow?

And you would be happy when you dock-kill somebody? When other ship is totally defencless.
There's really many peoples who open fire without warning. Pirate role players.
Batts and bots, as you wish but then other side also going to use 'em.

well, as for my understanding if the rules.

"This server is a hard core server" (believe yall read that part)

dock camping is allowed, but it's not sporting to kill like that, and also many servers has claimed that dock camping is not allowed.
in my opinion "dock camping" is very very dirty. "Dock camping is a game bug also"

u r allowed to kill, tax, duel, almost anything outside of NY and California.

about batts and bots:

duel = both side make an agreement about rules, then say "go" to kill each other. (some like go for guns only, some like go for everything goes except bots and batts, some like go for everything u got)

combat = attack without warning. so there is no rules except server rules. u can use everyting u have. (but some ppls says use bots and batts isn't sporting such as jolt server ppls say that. some say bots and batts are part of game. some think if u can't kill some1 without use bots and batts then aren't good enough)

The official rules state:

No PvP in New York or California systems.
No modifying of game files (Cheating/modding)

Dock camping/raping is allowed - But if you do then be prepared to have others do it to you :) Most people think this is cowardly and if you want to be hunted and hated by people this is a good way to go about it :)

You can use bats and bots as you please - Some people dislike it but there is no rule against it - I say in fights use them all you like. If your dueling then stick with the rules of the duel, up to you but if you don't then people will stop dueling you.

And you can attack anyone you like whenever you like but KoF are anti-pirate and unless its a [KoF]-Warrior-??? character you kill you may find yourself being hunted ;)

I should just clear that up a little...

I don't dock-kill, never have and never will. I feel that it's the lowest act you can do :mad: , BUT, it's not against the rules. :eek: Basically, if someone dock-kills you, the only thing you can do is try to get out there to kill them, (not easy though) as it's not against the SINGLE rule this server has.

The point I was trying to make is... There's players out there who declare that certain things are not allowed on here, but that are not, OFFICIALLY, banned.
The Batts and Botts thing is a case in point... I've been in a fight (no, not a duel... I got jumped without warning. Duels are by agreement) and when I used Batts/Botts to try and survive, some players ::cough KoF:: had a go at me for breaking the rules! (they were polite about it, mind)

So, like I asked... What are the rules? And where are they put so that we can read them?

Well heck.... The fact that I mentioned the no pking in NY and Cali shows that I knew the official rule. First thing I checked before I accessed the server.

Dueling rules agreed before starting? Nope, they never got mentioned. THEN, I get lambasted 'cos I broke them??? Damn right, the rules for duels are unwritten. They're not mentioned until you break them!

Standard fight? No rules about the use of Batts and Botts? Yep, I used them. No, I didn't survive. Yes, I got warned I was breaking the rules! Why was I breaking the rules? Because my "opponent" declared it a duel after I got killed!! If it was a duel, why did they just haul-off and blast the hell out of me without warning?

Yes, I'm angry about this. No, it's not making this server any fun. And, yes, I am running out of patience with those who break their own rules.

Ok, I've had some time to cool down now. Apologies if I annoyed anyone.

This got kicked off by someone jumping me, then accusing me of cheating 'cos I used batts/botts to try and survive.
Rather than using a private channel to do this, they used the system-wide channel, and a couple of other players agreed with them. I know one was a KoF, but I can't remember the name, and they wouldn't have known what truely happened, so, all things considered, I can't blame them for what was said.

Again, I'm sorry if this annoyed or upset anyone else, next time i'll take it back to the game and work it off with some proper dueling. It worked this time, even though I still get my ass whupped every time :rolling:
