With relevance to recent comments, I do agree there is a strong need for the Wireplay Community to produce its own news items about the gaming community (*add) etc. The forums are good for day to day chat arranging etc but if people really want to contribute to the cause and hopefully generate credible feedback (advertise the fact) then please email Kat.
Lets see something positive come out of a heated discussion for once rather than bruises and more resentment.
People want good topical discussion, lets up it a little by trying to encourage those people that have a flare for writing and posting challenging (new) ideas.
Wether you think I am self righteous egotistical bully shouldn't really come into it :rolleyes: all of the above ideas would benefit Wireplay.
Not forgetting what Breath and Combog have set up with people wanting to write articles about stuff, so all told there is plenty of avaliable avenues for people to explore if they want serious topical discussion, although saying that not all articles are serious, but the feedback is expected to be of a standard, where as the forum is a gateway for all people, silly people, clever people, mad people, purple people... teens, adults, young & old etc.. well you get the picture.
Your good article writer is a cut above the rest eh. They have a setup over at BW where people have columns, I love this idea a lot.. But writing articles for the main page would be very cool indeed. Its a big step going from forums to the main pages, but if you were to do it together in an organised group that supported and encouraged one another's efforts it makes the experience easier to bear.. this also provides a bit of a crutch when things get a little down..
So all told as for news, support Kat Combog and Breath in their effort to better the Wireplay / Gameplay service and also give budding young writers a chance to showcase their work.
The music side of things needs to be looked at, it has loads of potential, good few music fans here.. so great scope for more.. we need more feedback about this type of thing tbh...

Fantasy Band trading.. sounds good, but without feedback it is worthless destined to just be another idea that didn't quite make it..
There are loads of things that have a creative edge to them and need doing.. I am sure the WPCM's could add plenty more....
