Are we any closer to knowing when the new CEP patch will be issued so the server moves to 1.64?
Stuck in a dilemma as I play on 2 servers - 1 with 1.64 and MERP.
Thanks
We will not be patching until the next version of CEP is released as there are compatability issues with CEP resources and the standard ones.
Next version of CEP is due for release this coming week apparently.
Note: Creation of new announcement topics is for Dev team members only.

cep 1.5 is out and available for download at http://nwvault.ign.com/cep/downloads/
I am currently going through the motions of patching the server, I shall announce when it is complete so you can prepare to go back online.
For the sake of interest, is it better to patch NWN before or after the CEP patch?
The new comtent sounds very promising. Seen some of it before seperate from the CEP especially some of the CODI stuff and I cant wait to see what I can design with the new models. :)

Yep,
The CEP v1.5 content looks good :)
Particularly the DLA Treant ! - Looks like Treebeard might finally make an appearance on the server!!!

They've always been in the CEP, hopefully now some of their bugs (woodworm probably) have been ironed out... And yes they DO look nice dont they! :)
CODI's Maugs will make VERY nice golems. I think I feel an Iron Dreadnaught coming on, don't ask why, but I have a fondness for great lumbering tanks. They have a nice static pose, unlike Biowares Iron, Adamantium, etc golems that all look like they are on their starting blocks for a 100m dash. One of the Maugs with Stoneskin on would make a much better Stone Golem than the standard model. :) The only real drawback with the Maugs is the fact that if you want, you can almost imagine them as Transformers... hmm, lets not go there, shame to spoil them. :P
The Bulette would make a nice addition to our selection of natural predators for one. Its a really nice looking model.
And from what Ive read, the weapons, armours and items have a few new additions too. I cant wait to experiment a bit with those, and no doubt they'll come in handy for the PCT items thread. :)
Now its just a question of waiting to hear that there is a major bug with the patch and it will need to be withdrawn. ;)
If the patch does NOT work i think ill shall break down and weep... Been experimenting a little guys and the new content is very impressive... for example : The Lossoth and Beornings can now happily sport furs ! :D

its up and running
but i've tried to use some of the new helmet models when crafting and found that i couls not access them any one got any ideas
I say we take off and nuke the sire from orbit... Its the only way to be sure!
There has been an error with the module patching and im going to have to sort it at another time, fairly soon i hope.
Before anyone panics needlessly, some of the items, the hauberks in particular do not work on all of the phenotypes of all the races. Its not exactly a bug, the designer of the content simply never intended them for certain body types, and the reason they dont appear is simply because they dont exist in the toolset. :)
Thats why some of it was not included in the initial CEP release, but public pressure for these 'incomplete' sets seems to have won out over consistency. This may or may not be a good thing but i for one would rather see options that work on some races and not others, than not have them at all. We simply need to limit them to race restricted items, or NPCs designed to fit them. :)

has anybody had any problems d'loading the 1.64 patch ?
Keep getting corrupted download errors - a real pain when you've only got a humble dial-up connection.
Attempt four underway...Zzzz
