Help!!!!!

I got the problem that I put light crystals on my swords and armor and they are out of my level range now.

I couldnt re-equipp the swords so i logged off yesterday to ask for a solution. But now I cant log in again as my char obviously still wears the ARMOR and i get an error code stating my char is in violation of the level restriction.

Since I cant ask a GM ingame for support I hope somone can strip my equipment from those darn light crystals in the server vault or my main char is lost.

PS: PS: just stripping him of his +2 armor and two +2 swords is an acceptable solution also of course but it would cripple my ranger quite hard as he is 4000 pts away from his next level and I would have to rely on unenchanted stuff until then.

Dont get me wrong - I can manage, its just wouldn't be fair that I go through all this trouble because I HAD NO CHANCE to know that those darn light crystals raise lvl reuirement :(

aye that was the next thing --- heh logging out with an illegal item equipped whose level is too high for you. It only really happens if you install the light crystals. I tried that myself. The item hilights in red so i knew there was something up and unequipped it before i logged out.

Its a bummer - you willl need someone to sort that for you.

unfortunately nothing can be, we certainly cannot remove the item level restrictions from the server, otherwise others will have the same problem when they are turned back on. The only solution I can think of is getting a DM to help you by letting you create a new character and giving it the levels and a few items or something along those lines.

As far as i am aware the DMs are reluctant to edit characters for players as this can lead to unforseen file corruptions. Something like that.

I take it yer character is only low level, well, like Avalyn says, make a new one and level up with the neccessary XP and have the DM then give you a few key items that you had.

Then you can pick up where you left off - these things happen :)

Actually there is a good point raise here in that at no point are you warned 'This action will increase the level requirement of this weapon, are you sure you wish to proceed?'. Although not very in character this would at least give people the warning of whats about to happen, as if you've not come across this problem before its very easy to be caught out.

All my characters in all games on all servers have been a labour of love so far, be it commercial or free shard. Once I find a character that suits me I dump all the others and stick with this one. True my ranger is only lvl 7 but he allready has a small history and I hate *leveling*.

So I'll just wait for UTT2 and create my brand new character there as I didn't intend to transfer anyway - in the meanwhile I'll try some other PWs.

You do realise I would give you your experience, items, gold etc... all you have to do is record the exp you had and whatever key items you may have had.
