The piano - played in the Prancing Pony at Bree - was not invented until 1709. I doubt it has any place in Middle Earth. (incidentally it sounds as if the music is Scott Joplin - twentieth century!)
Did I also see an open air theatre in Minis Tirith putting on the works of William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616)? I doubt he belongs in Middle Earth either.
pfft, its Villiam Shakesworde! The Epic bard, get your facts right :P
the ragtime piano is a bit out of place aye.
But the wee bard in Tharbad is meant as an affectionate skit :)

My bad! Didn't pay much attention as I was only in passing at the time. I wonder if he is as good as the Gnomish poet, Bill Shakesgnome, the Baardvark of On?
But can you, without anachronism, do a skit on someone as yet unborn?
Absolutely. Terry Pratchett does it all the time :)
And yes - I am aware this is ME and not the Discworld. Dut a little light humor is no bad thing IMHO
I doubt the world will suffer if we have piano's in taverns :P
