Hey all, I'm a brand new player, or rather want to be a brand new player. I've downloaded the CEP and MERPrc, installed them all, and created a character. However, when I try to log that character on, I get to the load screen and my game crashes out. Any ideas? This is for UTT2.

Really not sure, but maybe it's something you've added to your override folder at a guess. Try emptying it (make copy, don't delete) and see if you can log in.

That can't be it, cause there's nothing in my override folder.

have u got the latest patch installed ? just a question as u dont mention patching nwn

Yep, patched it to 1.64 as soon as I re-installed.

Hmm. It seems that the problem must be on my end, as when I tried to enter another server that required CEP, my game did the same thing. 1.50 is the latest version of CEP, correct?

Yeah! I belive I have isolated the problem and fixed it. Just a simple switch of my sound settings from safe to Auto-Detect and I can now create characters. Now to try to log in...
