Deleted character issue

One of my friends has had problems with her character since UTT2 was released. Three times her character has been deleted (i.e., she creates it, rest, logs out, when she comes back the character does not exist anymore). she has also had trouble with her character's appearance - missing head on one occasion. Has anyone encountered this? She's starting as a half-elf female fighter if that has anything to do with it.

I have seen instances of people when logging missing body parts eg invisible abdomen or head, though this has been easily rectified by relogging. This phenomenon is not unique to this server either.
On many other servers I have heard instances of the delete thing you mention but never on this one.
I would try reinstalling all parts of the NWN software from scratch, plus a thorough scan for virus and spyware along with a defrag.
hopefully some easier advice will be soon aded by more informed ppl below.

Yeah I've had disappering parts as well. Its just a graphical glitch that happens, not much can be done about it.

You can re-log, or more often if you leave an area and come back it fixes it iself.

It may be something to do with CEP although I'm sure I remember it happening before CEP came about just not as often, and like Walt says its not just a MERUK thing, just an annoying glitch caused I suspect by it having to load up the graphics and simply not doing it in time so it leaves a blank.

The disappearing char thing I'm not sure about, not seen it happen. The player isn't logging on with a different player account name are they? I know thats sounds stupid, just thinking of the options.

Get the login name for me and i can check the vault to see if anythings there..

Thanks... I thing we've come up with a work-around. I think she tried to re-make the exact same character, including name, and the server got the two versions confused. She tried it again with a slightly different starting build and it seems to work fine now.

you need to change the name slightly, even if its just a space
