PRC trouble

Kinda important one, when I have to load my Olog Hai (Pishnak) neverwinter nights crashes on me, i talked to blackwind who did a test and the same happens to him when he attempts to load an Olog Hai character.

My guess on it would be that since the "Olog Hai" is not an official prestige class neverwinter nights decides that this character file is corrupt and terminates, but thats just a guess.

I have not tested it with others but i would assume that it applies to all of the prestige classes. But as i said, not tested so that should be done first.

Also note that the problem can be recreated on another computer so its not my version of neverwinter nights which is corrupted.

May need to knock enfore legal chars off on the server setup, since these chars are not 'normal' chars.

If that wont work, we'll politley ask Avalyn to investigate.

Same trouble with my Olog Hai (Gorbad)... wont let me log and crashes.. Something to do with a "bad strref", gutted :(, really wanted that Olog Hai skin...

Have you got the latest version of the merprc hak? Try re-downloading the hak and putting it in and try again. I heard someone mention that could be the problem last night

did some testing last night and thought the problem was found, then after the server crashed the problem began again.

Thx Wreck for the idea :).. tried it but still not working, only this time i get an error message... caused an error in nwn main exe.. the plot thickens :)

Strange. I just lvled up as a Olog Hai, and did some more stuff a while. Then after I logged out I have been unable to log in again:| . Also, instead of Olog Hai it says bad strref.

Any ideas?:confused:

Which version of the PRC have you got? If its not the most up to date one this may be the problem.

Hurray! He's up and going again. I don't know if it just fixed itself or if someone did something. If the second is the case, then thanks alot :)

Bad Strref it always says with custome classes when joining the server..

The info cant be retrieved from the server till you connect.. and you aren't connected till you actually log in with char...

Bad strref is just saying it cand find the text it is looking for...

Happens on all other servers with PRC's that i have visited...

Nothing that would prevent logging in
