The gong in the Carn Dum crypt went through the motions yesterday but didnt spawn any skeletons when whacked with the beater. Subsequently the PCs had no clues for the chessboard puzzle.
Fortunately, at least one of them had done it before and RPed checking for traps as they crossed the board. I realise they are undetectable but it worked for the look of the thing. Nice bit of improv that monk.
