I have recently had to take a few hours out. I was a little disheartened by a barrage of nay saying and other nonsense which got to me a bit. My condition gives me a lot of mood swings too, which doesn't help (operation didnt cure that) :P

But I was overwhelmed by the number of people saying how they felt and restoring my faith in the job im doing. To all those people, you are dear friends and I appreciate every second you spend here.

So now I have re launched UTT2, let us enjoy ourselves once more. I will be spending the next few days playing and also re-working a lot of our community content and attitudes towards players, including a lot more work on bringing new players in and keeping their attention.

Let us ignore the naysayers who have banded together in order to snipe at us. We are happy here, and that is something which they cannot change. So as of now, anymore attacks on the community regarding past issues will be removed, to allow us to move forwards.

As for my comments on the Stormplay NW Vault entry, I stand by my actions. I spoke only the truth from my experiences, and sympathised with past players who highlighted the same concerns as I did. I merely provided access to our community for other players who were dissapointed, and explained why I left, what I did and what its become. Im entitled to an opinion, provided it is truthful and informed, which it was.

Anyway, please enjoy the game :)

ROCK ON!

Or whatever appropriate saying you guys have there in the UK. :)

I'm glad the server is back up. I hope that you're feeling better (physically and otherwise). You and your staff have a great vision with regards to how bring Tolkien to NWN...I just can't say that enough. Please, please ignore the more contrived viewpoints of the naysayers and continue with what you're doing.

I am trying to get my NWN RP friends here to check out the server. My RP friends and I have similar gaming styles in that we're not particularly "quest driven/get to level 40 right away" type people. I personally like to RP "living" on your server...I play an elven druid that more or less spends her time wandering the wilderness areas around Bree...i.e. Chetwood. She interacts with the PCs she encounters in the woods and goes on a quest or two with them. My elf is a wanderer and that might mean spending sometime walking the wilderness alone (if no one's around) to get to the know the lay of the land--and no, don't worry I won't solo quests or difficult areas. I know my limits as a player, and your desire to promote party play. ;) By the way your newly added food/rest system adds greatly to the experience!

I'll try to bring some like minded friends along...heh...it might be tough doing since they're not exactly Tolkien enthusiats the way I am. Nonetheless I think we might have a home here on UTT2 (at least my druid does, hopefully)...so I'll try to my bit to help add some more faces during its "non peak" hours.

Do your "thing". Don't let the negativity get you down.

Best,

catofnine

Give us a break kev, Guilt trips dont do any good.

And "from now on"? what do you mean? Youve always censored remarks against you.

As for being happy, yay, I dont want to change that, and ive often said in the past how well you've done. But you have done some things which are out of line.

You should face those like a man and accept responsibility for your actions, put wrongs right, and make a change where it is due.

Let us ignore the naysayers who have banded together in order to snipe at us.

Har. This isnt school. Grow up mate. The world isnt out to get you, beleive it or not.

But I will respect breath's wishes and take this to a higher level. I have very valid points which I feel should be adressed IF you want as you say, to keep the community happy.

Breath, Ill be in touch.

PS: As for these comments on my not knowing what im talking about - you dont realise how -very- wrong you are.

And making a big deal out of personal things? No way. That goes against all of my DM philosiphies.

Corvas, quite frankly, I really don't see what you're trying to achieve. All that is apparent *is* personal spite. Any vaguely non-personal point I've seen you make was made in such a confrontational manner that I can't blame anyone for disliking it... and posts like this really serve no purpose, no desirable purpose, anyway.

*sigh*

There are plenty of people who appreciate Kev's work as it is. There's no need to try making your impression on everything he says and does.
