dm quest sugestion for tonight

this is a continuation of the ithilen ranger quest.

Argon has found an ilithien ranger with a contradicting story to that of what denethor told him and he knows that someone possing as an ilithien ranger was involved in the murder of elgan(or whatever the ranger was called) so argon would like to capture and bring him to minas tirith for questioning.

ooc i have spoke to the player and he thinks its a great idea but we need more player to paricipate and dms involved to make it happen.

Would love to join you, but the Valar appear to have been determined to stop me playing on MERP recently

1) Firstly my hard drive "broke"
2) Then I went through a bad time personally, which meant I didn't feel like playing
3) Now my internet connection has gone down and BT are dragging there arses sorting it out
4) Next week I'm off to Australia for 3 weeks!

I sense I lost everyone's sympathy with point 4, huh?

Fact is its Lorien's plot line that hes been working on so id rather wait til after the weekend as i dont know if he has anything in particular planned. Im sure that that idea could work Argon, Id just prefer that we check first as there might be something else next. Good though... plenty of possibilities :)

Yeah I'm out of town for a few days, some RL issues that I need to start sorting. However having said that once I'm back, I'll be back on the Story Driven events - I'll look into doing somthing with what you suggested Argon, but I do also have a few other ideas still around the same plotline, for both sides of the war.

You may not realise it but so far there have been 5 events (2 good and 3 evil) that are all in some ways linked. I know one lpayer has actually been involved fully in four of these but probably doesn't fully see all the links yet - watch this space.

What I think I will do (if Kev has no compliants) is post a few guidelines for my events, and also start writing them up - asking for the people involved to write up their take on the story as well - this will serve two purposes, allow those not involved so far to have some idea of what has been going on if they get involved in another one of my quests, and also allow the bigger picture to start to come together.

The only foreseeable problem would be players having knowledge their characters don't have about what the other side have been up to - but hopefully this wouldn't be abused (I honestly don't think it would be).

One thing I will say to people in advance is if you do get involved in one of these quests don't expect a lot of combat - most so far have had zero combat or maybe 1 or 2 encounters.
