My computer has now been fixed. All under warranty, so I didn't have to pay a penny for that new motherboard and graphics card :)
This means that work and updates to the game can now continue! I'd like to thank all our DMs for their hard work in ensuring things ran smoothly during this period. Although the new server installation was cancelled because of the snow recently, the new date for the upgrade will be, hopefully, in a matter of days, maybe upto a week, but I can't tell you precisely. When I have confirmation, I will let you all know.
Now that the dev machine is up and running and a second server is imminent for the NWN community, we will have a very exciting project underway which will take your experience of MERP that extra step further - Plans will be revealled once I have completed this!
Finally, a notice before ending ths announcement:
During the time my computer was out of action, I could not start it up at all. A new motherboard was installed and the computer booted up, but the graphics were messed up. So a new Graphics card had to be ordered which took almost a week. While I waited, I tried to recover my system and back it all up as I had a very much updated version of the mod on my hard disk which I wanted to protect. The backup of the hark disk was made, but certain files did not get backed up. (I used a windows recovery disk - I couldnt select specific files).
To get to the point, any accounts which we suspended have been lost. This may affect a couple of players. I will not be held responsible for the loss of these files as their loss was not a result of negligence on my part.
