Well I was playing on my old warhammer server a while ago when the server was down(forgive me:P ) and well they have this Hak file on the server that permits you to ride horses, and I thought this would be a good thing to have on the server for the horsemen, please tell me what you think about it.

This has been mentioned before.. if I recollect the main reason against it was that it would put too much of a burden on the server.

I agree, all the areas on this server are not big enough to justify horses. In fact they are perfect size for walking/running. Not to mention people riding horses through Moria would just look..........................well you know. :)

Though it would be nice to see Riders of Rohan instead of Footmen of Rohan.

Thats the other problem, yes :P

Id have to make areas bigger so that horse journeys are not instantaneous. If we made areas bigger, we would see a lot of lag.

if we had horses as critters or even placeables it would be nice to see. Especially in rohan :P but as ridables it would be a bit superfluous to requirements. Large areas would need to be filled with something or else wed have large boring emptyness.

I think the horses would be a wonderful idea, but perhaps something could be done such as it only increases movement speed by 10%, costs something like 5,000 gold, cannot be traded, can die, and cannot be ridden in cities. The horses could be left just outside of the city gates with special stables or ropes or something, and thieves could steal them. :)

There will not be any horses whilst we use NWN. Come NWN2 things *might* change.
