May is approaching fast, this may not mean much to some, but to myself and a few others, it means two years of MERP UK and its fantastic work to revoloutionise middle earth roleplaying! And what better way to celebrate this by lots of new goodies for the community to enjoy!
Below are just some of the things in the works due for release soon:
- New Website providing a massive source of reference for our community and for new players to learn how to play here quickly and easily. With a massive gallery and over 20 character biographies.
- The Lorien Region
- The Harad Region (Evils equivalent of the Shire, very easy start for new players.)
- The complete Shire and west, with full quests and other things to do!
- MERP PRC V2.0 with over 8 new custom prestige classes, new feats, possible new spells and new load tips.
- Our 'New Player Friendly Project', which includes a new, revamped level-scaled respawn penalty system and 'dying' system, whereby all characters will properly die on -10 hitpoints, allowing them to be healed if they have 0 to -9 hp. Dying characters will lose 1hp per round. We are also looking for more ways to encourage good new players to stay, we will be asking for your ideas in another thread.
Remember these are only some of the things going on. We are also happy to work on other ideas you throw at us, so please use the next few weeks to really get behind the community and use the forums and irc to help us add many more improvements.
