We now have these new module systems online and ready, thanks to the hard work of Aule. The following post will detail how they work. They shall be added to the manual at a later time. If you notice players ranting on about changes or why this or that happens, refer them to this thread please.

- NEW RESPAWN SYSTEM:

1. Instead of a set respawn penalty for all, the penalty for respawning now scales up, depending upon the total level of your character.

2. We have created level groups, by sorting the 40 character levels into 4 groups. Each group has its own set gold and xp penalties.

3. The groups and their penalties are:

Level 1-5. You will lose 50xp per level and 10% of your gold.

Level 6-10. You will lose 100xp per level and 25% of your gold.

Level 11-15. You will lose 150xp per level and 40% of your gold

Level 16+. You will lose 200xp per level and 50% of your gold.

Finally, an example:

Character x is level 13 and has 10,000 gp. The player decides to respawn, so character x loses 13 x 150 xp = 1950xp and 4,000 gp.

4. Characters can not lose a level through XP losses.

It is hoped that this is a good step in making the module more new player friendly and will keep the interest of inexperienced players.

- NEW DYING SYSTEM:

1. This system will be remembered well by some of our players. On reaching 0 hitpoints, your character will start dying. He/she will lose 1hp per round (thats every 6 seconds).

2. If your character falls to -10 hitpoints, he/she will die and the pop up menu will appear where you can choose to respawn, or, if its possible, be raised by a member of the party in the area who is still alive.

3. When a character is dying, they can be healed through the casting of appropriate spells, and the use of heal kits. If the dying character is healed to 1 hit point or more, they will get up and rejoin the party and be able to interact again.

4. Characters who are healed following dying will have the curse effect upon them for a short period of time to reflect their weakened state and the fact that they were so close to death. The effect will not be permanent, it will go by itself.

We hope you enjoy these new systems, both helping new players and improving the game as a whole. Though dont expect the bleeding system to be of enormous use to high level characters, as they recieve heavier blows that are likely to kill them outright rather than leave them in a dying state :)
