Dagnir
08-05-2005, 21:56
It was night in the icy bays of Forochel, Dag and Rekk had just came from the Crypts of Malek, tired of the journey they drunk some longbeard ale
and ate some tasty hot meat.
Rekk entered his tent and said good night to Dagnir, that stayed awake reading the manuscripts recovered on the crypt and drinking ale.
It was late when all of a sudden a citizen runs in panic to Dagnir and asks for his help, he claims to have seen some strange doglike humanoids in a cave.
Promptly Dag tries to awake his kin, but with all the ale in his head, not even hammering his hand Rekk would wake up.
Alone, in the cold, Dag looks to the skies and prays for Mahal/Aule to enlight his path, and head alone to the so called sorceror cave.
After some hard battle he arrives in the main chamber, but he hears the voice and sounds of orcs. Quite aware of the danger, he approaches the chamber slowly and
sees a huge orc, a wo-man and a known person.
Scared and curious with the encounter, Dag stealthly as he can in full plate mail, approaches the hall and watches the group from behind a stone pillar.
Closer he recognizes her, Althaea Lupus and her red little devil.
He stands still, but the damned imp seen to sense him, and approaches.
Alathea greets him quite friendly, but Dag was shocked for seeing someone introduced to him by Rekk, helping tha minions of the Shadow.
Soon enough the orc notices the heavily armored Khazad and starts taunting and provoking him. Dag replies to his threats but Alathea tell Dag to be careful with his words,
that he wasnt in a good position.
Dagnir, enraged but knowing it was a real hard battle, tried to stay cool, and slowly moved to the exit, fearing for the worst.
On the leave, the orc yelled: Uruk! Olog! I be tha BIG Gashmog!
With the situation growing more agressive towards him, Dag left the chambers, and outside in the snowy hills of the Blue Mountains, he run for Erebor.
He thought it was all safe, when all of a sudden a bolt strikes beside his feets. Dagnir looked up to the hills and saw Gashmog wielding a crossbow and shooting at him.
Behind the beast stood the Wo-man and his wolf, and Alathea and her little devil.
Knowing that his smaller legs couldnt be fast enough to flee, Dagnir reached for his Waraxe and yelled!
Forth child o' Mahal! face tha wrath o' tha child o' Mahal!!! --- and charged directly to the uruk.
The clash was hard, but the Khazad waraxe burning with the flame of Aule, striked the Uruk chest, and before the orc could swing his huge double axe, tha Naugrim waraxe hit once more and the once courageous Uruk begun running. At this time the other two from the host were shocked by the fierce and brutal attack of the small naugrim, and recovered from the surprise, beginning to heal the uruk.
Seeing the outcome, Dag called upon Mahal's power for help, and a mighty beam o' holy lights striked from the sky directly in the uruks head, burning his leather and
dazzling him.
Proud the naugrim rushed for the final blow but was hit by a lightining bolt that near dropped him to its knees, but once again the light of the Valar shined upon him and he healed. The sorceror Alathea begun casting a second spell, but the naugrim noticed and rushed for her, while the wo-man healed the dazzled Uruk.
Once again he was hit by the flames of the sorceror, but reached her in time, and with a mighty swing of his waraxe, the sorceror fell uncouncious and bleeding a lot.
Dagnir feeling the power of Mahal in his own body, rushed for the wo-man whilst he healed the uruk, and with easy striked him right on his chest, then a second blow on his leg, near severing it.. and so, the second enemy fell to tha naugrims feet.
Dagnir smiled to the wounded Uruk, and yelled: Har! tha shadows b' no threat tha the child o' Mahal!! now yar face tha wrath o' tha naugrim Gashmog!
And at once he rushed for the Uruk, but this time Gashmog landed a hit on Dagnir's chest, but the damage was sustained by Dag's naugrim platemail, and then the blessed khazad swinged his waraxe and hit the uruk once more on his chest, that without the protection of his burned leather, wounded him real bad, with blood spilling from the wound.
The uruk fell to his knees, and then Dagnir, with a smile upon his face and watching the fallen uruk bleeding to death, swinged his waraxe once more and cutted the Uruk's ear off, then left the three bleeding to death in the frozen tundra of the blue mountains.
Dagnir watched back to the three fallen minions of the shadow and laughed!
"Yar thenk yar could threat tha naugrim huh? HAR!! nowz ah let yar bodies freeze an' yer flesh b' eaten by tha winter wolves!"
The naugrim then walked back to Erebor, proud of his deed, proud of teaching the shadow's minions a lesson not to be forgotten, to never, ever, mess with the childs of Mahal/Aule.
Arriving at Erebor, he told his tale of death and glory in the frozen tundra of the Blue Mountains.
----
After many ales and laughs about the tale, Dagnir headed to the west, droping a sign on the taverns and town halls of Esgaroth, Bree, Tharbad, Erebor and Shire with the following message:
URGENT! A sorceror known as Alathea and her lil' red devil *follows description of Alathea and his Imp*, that were thought to b' good people, is no more than a helper of the shadow from the south, She and two other servants of the shadow tried to ambush me, Dagnir Dae'dring in the Blue Mountains, but they were striked by the wrath of Aule. Even letting them to die in the frozen tundra, ye all be warned that tis girlie is evil an' shall nae b' treated or trusted by the good of heart, cause she is no more than a hiddeous spying servants of the shadow.
