the hell was this subforum created? Everyone knows it will die off in a matter of days, when the 'regulars' lose intererst and stop posting...

I realize this was started to bring more life to the forums, but really, creating another dead forum is not the way. There is no way you'lll ever get an active community. There are only a couple of active forum communities left here, try building from them if you really want to attract new posters, don't just start another forum that has no regulars, this entire forum is about as useful as the 'What are you eating' thread.
This will never become an active forum, the only thing you are achieveing is putting yet another dead link on this page.

Any service we provide requires a forum, this is not to chat in for hours on end, this is to ask questions, get feedback, and find any information on anything new thats happening in WCN

Hmm, I aggree with FiRe. Why dont you give it some time, and you will see a much bigger increase in posts & threads.

I seriously doubt that. You won't attract new people by simply opening up even more useless, empty forums.

A week is a little premature to judge if a new forum will be successful or not. It is not my intention to have this forum teeming with activity either. Once I get more WCN voulenters together there should hopefully be a range of special articles being setup which require things to happen in this forum, such as nominations.

At this early statge, im trying to create awareness of WCN, and I feel that WCN has so far been successful. The services of WCN have been sought for Wireplay projects such as the clothing and also for WP Radio. I have also recieved a number of e-mails form community members offering to voulenteer for WCN as reporters.

The main role of the WCN forum is a place for infomation and for readers to shape the outcome of some articles. If people so wish, they can comment on the news we provide. The input criteria of WCN is not x number of people posting on the forum. If the forum does its job to provide information and choice to readers, thats a winner for Wireplay. If it doesn't happen, sure, I'll think again.

But one thing that I do feel is detrimental to Wireplay is people who come across as passionate for the future of Wireplay, but just sit quietly and take, take, take all the time, yet seem to have no problem at all in shooting holes in new ideas or motivation to improve the service. That is why energetic, constructive people will leave if this continues. EZtigER e-mailed me, and has left for this very sad reason. But enough, let us stick it out and see what happens before calling something dead before its even lived.
