Hey Guys!!!

Well, no, I'm NOT dead...

After two weeks in sunny phoenix arizona (when I say sunny, I mean REALLY sunny, like its fookin hot kinda sunny, like 112 degrees sunny!).

I also had a bit of a trip out to Las Vegas too Smile but thats another story.

So, now I'm sat in an internet game place in Auckland New Zealand. This place is cool!, both literally and figuratively. Only 5 days here though, monday I move on to Sydney in Oz and from thence to Brisbane to stay with some friends.

Game Dev has continued, although its amazing how much you get used to having constant internet! I really need it! my brain only functions when its half-online all the time.

So the news?

Well, Kristen is still doing the physics code.. He is just downloadnig the latest build and finishing off the integration. He's also into optimising it, as the physics he's done was a bit heavy duty Smile

I've been working on the AI for the combat. Its been slow going though, moving from place to place. Next week should get some more serious time on it (as I'll be in a single place with wifi Smile)

We are still lookin good for a september-october alpha test, god only knows wether the xmas release is still on. I'm taking it to a conference in October though, so it WILL be in almost-final form by then.

Hey, outside there is just a huge hari krishna group singing! neat! Smile

Photo's to come (after I upload em to flickr.com)

I'm going to start commisionning more artwork once Kristen delivers the physics engine code. Thats the last major hurdle to release with. We wont be shipping anything overly huge for xmas, but it WILL be the game you guys really want.. simple and fun!

After that, there are a number of opportunities coming along for the game, we will be working hard on shipping a single player version of the game, plus console versions. Whilst that is going on, I'll be planning to look into making a helicopter combat sim in the same vein (think LHX from electronic arts if any of you have played that).

This year is turning out to be really stunning!!!

Oh, yeah, almost forgot.. I left my house keys and USB key in the security at LAX!!! doh!

Time for some noodles and then off to watch fantastic four and get a beer.

Wish you were here.

Phil.
