Just a short note about this weapon, which I got for my future-assassin-type char yesterday..

Basically, since the base weapon type is "assassin dagger" and not just "dagger" it means that:

1) it doesn't count as a finessible weapon - if its base item type was "dagger" then it would. Quite a problem when you're a dex fighter...

2) since its a non-standard weapon, you can't take any weapon focus/specialisations in it - a bit of a pain considering this char has weapon focus and specialisation in daggers, so it makes very little sense why she should be worse using an 'assassin' dagger... when there's nothing that can be done to improve it.. :/

Any chance of changing the daggers base item type to simply "dagger"? At the moment, it's just a pretty weapon... :)

On the serious side...it does highlight something which I am sure the DM's are aware of, and have been for a while.

Crafting is going to change......sometime........maybe.

The eagle-bow isnt weapon focusable (if thats a word) as a shortbow either ... any chance of that being looked at too? (maybe Luth can ask ...she gets good results ;) )

Imp Crit and Weap Focus s-bow both, mate, although i only have it 2nd-hand (from the player of "Jakirah") ; they mentioned it when i discovered that the "crippling strike" feat didn't work with bows (we were bemoaning "wasted" feats).

My own characters made/bought elf bows and took Martial Weapons feat ('cos the eagle-bow was originally "broke") so no, i dont know for certain.

I can definitely say that the Eaglebow is a standard shortbow - I've just had a look at the one Morgan has.. so it should work with imp. critical and weapon focus - although she doesn't have those feats so i can't check that for certain. Still, it's a standard NWN base weapon, not a CEP one, so there shouldn't be anything wrong with it.
