i personaly think that the quality of the shire far out weighs any of the original campaignes

Awesome, so when are we going to get the rest of the world like that?

It really gives you the idea that you are in a huge world, and takes days to travel from one side of the shire to the other. I look forward to the next thing in the olorin workshop that will come to light.

I expect more things will emerge from the shire, as i could not get into the green dragon inn. So I wait with baited breath to see what more marvels will emerge.

The Green Dragon Inn was open last night?

Wobbly Ned is a particular favourite...

(And you can see what Sam sees in Rosie Cotton ;) )

My mistake I have since been told it was the Golden Perch or some of the other pubs. But a dwarven pub crawl of the shire is most definately needed.

Silverleaf

Angelis, my new Cleric spent 5 hours wandering through the new Shire...absolutely awesome to hold my attention for that long. It was the little touches here and there that made the experience something to remember.

Respect to all that worked on this!

Personally I hate hobbits...so I have a problem with the shire, however, it would be great if populated with tall folk and not midgets obsessed with smoking. :P

Despite my hatred of hobbits...the shire is still great.

I'm on holidays in Canada, so unfortunetely I can't see the shire at the moment. Perhaps some screenshots placed on the gallery would be worth looking into though.

I'm assuming that Rivendell will be the next upcoming project? I think we all realise that place needs a SERIOUS face lift!

Development ideas need to go in the development thread. I'd best quickly say that those ships wont happen. One of them is physically impossible unless its a flying ship and the other is not a good idea as mithlond was very much an elven place if im much mistaken and i doubt any human ships would travel there.

Anduin to the south is possible though.

Back on topic..WOW!

Shire is designed better than i thought it could be in NWN, yes. But it's also pathfinding HELL!;)

best you look for a shire map in your tolkien books or use google - i found there some nice maps and with them it's easy to find the way :)

Steve-Law

I think he means NWN pathfinding :)

ghost81

Ifts NWN pathfinding not much we can do. But it is very accurate to the maps in the LORT books.

DM_Olórin

youll find it easy to pathfind if you take your time and walk about the place. running will see you collidin with fences i agree. :P

But they are there to stay so there :D

I find that in a lot of places manual "driving" (using the keys) works much better than point and click. Especially mosty of the gates to the various buildings or other "tight" gaps like that.
