Food Poisoning

According to the homepage info on Poisoning, the following is true.

Food Poisoning
To poison a food, you require Food Poison Potions, which are made by Alchemists. To apply food poison, double click the potion, then select the food that you wish to apply it to. Poisoning food always succeeds, as long as your skill in Poisoning meets the criteria in the following table:


Poison Strength Skill Required
Lesser 1%
Normal 30%
Greater 60%
Deadly 90%

However, when I attempted to poison food with a food poison potion I recieved the following message:

You are unsure how to poison this item

I have over 50 skill in Poisoning and used a food potion poison.

any help would be appreciated. BTW this was another char of mine.....not Job.

If you don't have enough skill to use a potion you'll get the message "You are not skilled enough to use this poison!".

The message "You are unsure how to poison this item." means that you aren't selecting a valid target. Make sure that you're trying to poison food, and not fruit :)

ah, that is the case!!

I thought fruit was food.....lol. I was thinking of Snow White and the poisoned apple.
