These are getting changed with a plethora of other items.

I want three versions of each skill glove, except crafting gloves. We do not use ogre power gloves.

Their three property versions shall be +3, +6 and +12 to the skill.

We need glove names and descriptions for Concentration, Discipline, Spellcraft, Perform, Parry and Animal Handling skill gloves.

Tips:

- We need a simple naming convention for the three different qualities of each glove.

- A generic description for the glove type and a sentence to indicate its quality. No references to magic/blessing/gods/vala please.

Post plans below please. I need this done quickly.

Thanks :)

Concentration

+3: Copper Charm Bracelet

Charms and amulets such as these often serve as a focus in meditation.

This bracelet is made from a simple copper chain adorned with several symbolic charms. Should the wearer's thoughts go astray, it provides a means to regain composure through traditional meditation techniques.

+6: Silver Charm Bracelet

Charms and amulets such as these often serve as a focus in meditation.

This silver chain is adorned with several symbolic silver charms. Should the wearer's thoughts go astray, it provides a means to regain composure through traditional meditation techniques.

+12: Gold Charm Bracelet

Charms and amulets such as these often serve as a focus in meditation.

A gold chain adorned with several highly symbolic charms. Should the wearer's thoughts go astray, it provides a means to regain composure through traditional meditation techniques.

Discipline

+3: Cloth and Leather Gloves

In the heat of battle, even the most seasoned warriors palms may become slippery with sweat, and more often with their enemies blood.

To keep sword in hand, cloth gloves like these absorb moisture quickly. The leather padded palm ensures a confident grip on the weapons hilt.

+6: Soft Leather Gloves

In the heat of battle, even the most seasoned warriors palms may become slippery with sweat, and more often with their enemies blood.

These soft leather gloves are lined with an absorbent fabric, whilst their palms give a superior grip upon your weapon.

+12: Supple Leather Gloves

In the heat of battle, even the most seasoned warriors palms may become slippery with sweat, and more often with their enemies blood.

Made from the finest leather, these gloves are lined with a soft, absorbent material. Layers of thick leather cover the palms, providing an unrivaled grip upon your weapon's hilt, whilst the leather itself is supple enough not to hinder your movements.

Spellcraft

+3: Plain Copper Band

The study of lore and mystic crafts is often rewarded by a gift of a band of metal to wear about the wrist, symbolising the level of study the student has achieved.

This pure copper band may in future be joined by others, but alone stands as a symbol of the most rudimentary understandings of lore and the arcane.

+6: Bi-Coloured Band

The study of lore and mystic crafts is often rewarded by a gift of a band of metal to wear about the wrist, symbolising the level of study the student has achieved.

Composed from linked copper and silver bands, this is a symbol of having achieved an advanced understanding of lore and the arcane.

+12: Tri-Coloured Band

The study of lore and mystic crafts is often rewarded by a gift of a band of metal to wear about the wrist, symbolising the level of study the student has achieved.

These linked gold, silver and copper bands represent a true student of lore and nature. This band is the highest reward, symbolising unparalleled knowledge of lore and the arcane.

Perform

+3: Fingerless Gloves

To play and sing beautifully, even when near-frozen from rain and snow, is the ever sought-after skill of performers the world over.

Fingerless gloves allow the musician to still play their instrument without the hindrance gloves usually give, whilst still keeping the hands somewhat warm.

+6: Soft Fingerless Gloves

To play and sing beautifully, even when near-frozen from rain and snow, is the ever sought-after skill of performers the world over.

These gloves are made of soft leather that does not hinder dexterous hand movements. Their lack of fingers is a boon to all musicians, since they keep the hands warm, and the fingers free to play.

+12: Supple Fingerless Gloves

To play and sing beautifully, even when near-frozen from rain and snow, is the ever sought-after skill of performers the world over.

Gloves such as these are made from the finest leather available, and are lined with soft fur. Any musician wearing these could comfortably play by any cold hearth or windswept street without the discomfort and hindrance of cold hands.

Parry

+3: Soft Leather Bracers

The skillful turning aside of an opponents blade is both daring and dangerous. To lure them into a position where they are sure they will hit you, only to set them off balance with your next move, requires a certain degree of flexibility and poise.

Bracers such as these wrap around the wrists, adding support without hindrance, and some degree of cushioning should your opponents blade go somewhere other than you intended.

+6: Studded Leather Bracers

The skillful turning aside of an opponents blade is both daring and dangerous. To lure them into a position where they are sure they will hit you, only to set them off balance with your next move, requires a certain degree of flexibility and poise.

These bracers are made from a much softer leather, and are covered with fine metal studs for added protection. They offer the same degree of wrist support as leather alone, with the added benefit of being able to catch an opponents blade more surely on against your wrist should it go astray so far, without losing your hand.

+12: Supple Ridged Leather Bracers

The skillful turning aside of an opponents blade is both daring and dangerous. To lure them into a position where they are sure they will hit you, only to set them off balance with your next move, requires a certain degree of flexibility and poise.

These bracers are made from the finest leather, providing excellent wrist support. Metal ridges and guards along the top are specifically designed to trap an opponents blade if used with skill, adding a whole new degree of freedom for this style of fighting.

Animal Handling

+3: Thick Hide Gloves

When handling all kinds of sharp toothed and clawed creatures, a thick pair of gloves comes with high recommendation.

These gloves are made from thick hide, ideal for turning aside both tooth and claw.

+6: Soft Hide Gloves

When handling all kinds of sharp toothed and clawed creatures, a thick pair of gloves comes with high recommendation.

For those with greater skill with animals, a softer touch is often needed to coax the more wild and unruly animals to your bidding. These gloves are soft and supple, a compromise between thicker leather for protection, and being able to feel what you are doing.

+12: Supple Hide Gloves

When handling all kinds of sharp toothed and clawed creatures, a thick pair of gloves comes with high recommendation.

However, the most unruly animals require a masterful touch that is near impossible with more cumbersome gloves, making fingers fumble at the most unfortunate of times. For those with enough confidence, supple gloves such as these may not provide excellent protection from scratches and bites, but with such a skillful touch, that should not be needed.

Oi.. stop hogging the browny points!!!!!

No really, very cleverly thought out descriptions *bows*.

Kev, I know you said no ref to Magic/Valar/Gods?Blessing etc and I thin k I understand why but what about some minor ref which would leave a Middle Earth picture in the minds eye.

Say for example with the gloves of animal empathy:

“ First seen adorned by the elves of the woodland realm but now not uncommon amongst other races also”.

Oh thats fine. Just didnt want anything like "Blessed by a Maiar Spirit" or "Enchanted by Sorcerer", etc. Im trying to tone down the number of references to magic on items.

Aye, I thought that was the aim Kev and so below are my thoughts for your consideration to be latched on to Luth’s descriptions:

Fingerless Gloves
“Such gloves have been discovered and used by many races across Middle Earth, their true origin lies buried with the first settlements in the cold lands.”

Charm Bracelets
“Although many cultures employ all manner of symbols and artefacts for the purpose of meditation, these types of bracelets are thought to have resulted as an aid for the deep, trance like meditations of the nomadic tribes of Haradwaith.”

Hide Gloves
“ First seen adorned by the elves of the woodland realm but now not uncommon amongst other races also”.

These seemed the most obvious items for which an origin may be “guessed at” the remainder being the sort of items which many races might discover independently and a true origin would be lost to the sands of time.
