The above site has an insane amount of information and I thought I should share it for the sake of those like myself who dont have a flowing wealth of knowlege on middle earth.
I'v only read the Hobbit and seen the films so I find it a great aid for playing here.

I hope it will be of use to others. :E

its a very handy source for the middle earth lore challenged :) its not 100% accurate but id recommend it for its accessibility alone.

Aye, I've used it a lot in the past as well. Don't worry about the knowledge bit. I've only read the Hobbit as well. You pick up Middle Earth lore as you play on the server more and more.

Also if you have specific questions about certain parts of Tolkien lore/history etc (eg name ideas for a certain race of man, or areas of Gondor - anything really) its always worth posting a question in the Player Content Team forums. Olorin, Lorien and dare I say it myself (not to mention many others) can usually give detailed answers, usually referenced to decent Tolkien material.

Just to add - the DMs and a lot of the players are totally mad about Tolkien. Ask them anything (Tolkien related) and they can answer it for you either on the IRC channel or here in the forums!

They are a valuable source of information and friendliness :)
