Some ideas I'm writing about my rant for some light weapons with a little extra damage. Some of these I'm getting from the Standard Items in the toolset (like the Cold Iron Blade and Bone Phoenix).

Icy Blade [Shortsword]

Attack Bonus +1
Damage bonus +1d4 cold damage

Although the tip of this shortsword isn't too sharp, the blade itself is covered with frost. Made from the finest cold stones and good steel, the forger of such a blade must be talented indeed.

Heavy Dirk [Dagger]

Damage bonus +1d4 piercing
Decreased Attack Modifier -1

This long knife feels considerably heavy. Althoughalong with the unbalanced and difficult to use, it will likely hurt a victim more than the average dagger.

Smithy's Hammer [Light Hammer]

Attack Bonus +2
Saving Throw Bonus: Fortitude +1
Skill Bonus: Craft Armor +3
Skill Bonus: Craft Weapon +3

A smithy's hammer used for crafting, forging and bashing orc heads. Crafted from good iron, not only is it well-balanced but it gives the wielder a particularily hardy feeling, similiar to that of a dwarf.

Rapier of Heaven Cesti [Rapier]

Attack Bonus +1
Damage Bonus +1d4 sonic damage
Saving Throw Bonus: Reflex +1

Rapiers of Heaven Cesti are well-balanced and quite often deadly. Like the trademark of most of their gloves, they shock those they touch with a deadly vibration.

Comments/Feedback are welcome. :) I'm a bit iffy on both the name of the Desert Wind as well as the description, so feel free to post new descriptions and names if you come up with any.

They all seem great! I doubt Kev will accept, but it'd be cool!

Okay - please listen, I'm going to try to clear things up here.

One of the whole points behind the itemset change was to make weapons more mundane and less magical. The better weapons are better crafted, not powered magically.

Having re-written the whole itemset to remove damage bonuses what makes people think we will then add in new weapons which, compared to evrything else, will be massively overpowered. We don't want weapons with elemental damage, we don't want weapons with bonus damage - on the whole. Yes there may be one or two extra rare items appearing with bonus damage of one type or another, but not available generally.

Having spent a great deal of time making weapons more mundane and less damaging we are NOT going to introduce a bunch of weapons that do over the normal damage. It makes a joke of everything we're trying to achieve to suggest such a thing.

More mundane items are good, for true magical weapons were extremely rare in Middle Earth. So I see it as a positive thing that elemental damage weapons are extra rare and that the weapons have an attack bonus not a damage bonus.

Now one suggestion. One way to make more diverse weapons without making them magical is to give them massive criticals damage bonus. It could be like the blade of the weapon is shaped in such a way that it will tear gaping wounds when scoring a good hit. Naturally smaller weapons would have smaller bonuses, because the blade is smaller. This would help that smaller weapons would become more powerful, not too much for my taste, without making them magical.

Just a quick note to clear something else up, in case anyone doesnt know... "Cesti" are/were fighting gloves. They took various forms, such a metal studded/banded leather glove, a set of brass knuckles, even a small metal hemispherical buckler no larger than your fist.

Cesti (singular: cestus).

Its a description of one of the types of celesti - or was. Haven't seen what if anything has been done to them with the item update.
