This is an advert offering a number of positions on the Wireplay NWN development team.

Due to recent departures from the Wireplay NWN development team and other operational reasons, we are seeking to recruit a number of players for development team positions, including an important role in scripting.

This recruitment drive comes at a time where the number of staff is low and where im planning to step up progress with the Untold Tales project on a number of fronts, including preliminary planning of the NWN2 project.

Wireplay NWN, also known as MERP UK was setup in May of 2003 by DM Kev, seeking a better quality of Middle Earth Roleplay module after many veteran players of Middle Earth servers felt that what they were playing was repetitive, glorified action listed as Roleplay. Untold Tales of Tolkien was launched with the help of a small team.
This module was well recieved, providing detailed areas and initiating an improvement in roleplay. The module made such an impact that Wireplay UK (A game service provider) offered to host our server and bring us into their massive community. Though even with these early successes of Untold Tales, DM Kev was not stopping there.

Though Untold Tales was popular and delivering some of its targets, DM Kev felt an even better Middle Earth module could be produced, taking the good things in Untold Tales further and fixing some of its negative points. This was quite a gamble, with the number of changes we were making, but it paid off. A lot of praise was given for the work done and the server began to attract a lot more of the right players. Roleplaying dramatically increased and most importantly, everybody was having a lot more fun. Untold Tales of Tolkien II has been very successful, and is online today.
MERP UK has many plans for the future, particularly for NWN2, which we hope will excite our existing community.

A more detailed brief of future plans and targets of the project will be given to successful applications.

If you are seeking to apply to join the team, read this whole post carefully and follow any instructions given.
