Greetings one and all.

Just an update and a thread starter here really.

Just to let you know myself, DM_Olorin and DM_Vaire are now heading up the player liason side of things.

A big part of this will be module fixes and updates suggested by players, so that is what this thread is about.

Firstly please please do bring bugs/errors to our attention - be they typo's or whatever we want to hear about them. Please be as accurate as possible - if its an error in the conversation the more info you give the better. e.g. who's conversation and which thread of the conversation it is in.

Secondly - player driven updates - again we want your ideas, you the players are as important, if not more so, to the ongoing existence of the mod. So lets hear your ideas. However I can't promise we'll use everything, but we will consider everything. Again some guidelines - think about the direction the mod has been moving when making suggestions - regional/race specific items are a definite maybe, but must fall within hte new item guidelines. With quest ideas - these take longer for us to put into the mod, we will consider them, but I'd say give a very brief synopsis, then one of us will contact you for a more detailed idea of the quest. As I've said we will consider any idea, but please try to keep them within the vision of the current mod.

Many thanks in advance, and we hope to hear from you soon

DM_Lorien.

I will try to explain without give any spoilers.

I took the first quest you get when you arrive in Isengard. I completed the quest and recieved a token. After a reset I returned to Isengard and talked to the same NPC and recieved the quest I already had completed, again. Not wanting to do the same quest again, I looked around for other work. I found another quest from a NPC in Isengard. I completed that quest and again recieved a token. I then went and talkd to the original NPC, and recieved a new quest. So I guess my question is; Are players suppose to be able to do the first quest in Isengard over and over again until they complete the second quest? or is this a exploit that could be abused?

Hmm, sounds wrong to me, I'll add a line ot the convo preventing getting the quest again if you already have the token.

Aye. If you are given a token after completing a quest, the idea is that you should not be able to attempt it again as the party leader.

You are of course welcome to be in a party under a diferent leader attempting the quest.

I think he casts stoneskin or ethereal visage. After awhile it'll wear off.

Merely an intended effect of the changes. Magic, although more exclusive has very profound effects :)

The precious fruity food if Umbar (to buy at the market) is bugged. You can eat it multiple times.

The goblin chieftain in the weatherhills still wields a shortsword +1.

The magic shop in Mithlond could use a map pin (the last time I checked anyway).

Isengard Initiation quest/Isengard Mithril Quest

The dragon quest is possible to do multiple times and each time you get a White hand token. After you have completed the Initiation quest, the White hand officer tells you to go to Orthanc low levels to get the next quest (mithril quest). This is not true as you need to go to the weaponsmith. Secondly, it isnt possible to buy from the armour store as long as you are on the quest.

"Great Spiders" have over 70 fortitude.

Not sure if that is the case, If your speaking of the encounter in question, I made adjustments to the critters to make them more of a challenge for the participants, side effect of which was fort increase, I double checked and am certain that is the case.

So unless your reffering to something else Silverleaf I dont think this is an issue.

Sorry for the delayed response.

Some suggestions to improve small things.
1. Tindre and Iron anchor in Umbar is a camp rest zone (that is, you need to put up camp to rest). These should be made into a free resting zone.
2. When you have accomplished the "Ships list quest" in Umbar, the captain gives you a ships pin. The ships list though, is still stuck in your inventory.
3. How about a special bag for all those tokens? As it is now, those tokens clutter up the inv. They are nice to have (to look at to see what you have accomplished) but you cant put them into a bag.

1 is simple to fix.

2 and 3 present a problem though. We make plot items non transferable so players can't give them to those who haven't earned them.

When it comes to nr 2, cant the list be removed as soon as you get the pin?

Yes it can. One for the Player Liasion team there.

Two other things that have caught my attention on the evil side. First, make the caves under Isengard a full rest zone (so that you dont need a tent to rest in there) and also add a cozy room (that is, cozy for evils :) ) so that you can sit and talk in there. This because this zone is the meeting place for all mid level evil and it needs a pit of a touch up. Secondly, in Dol Guldur, is it possible to reroute Molterz path so that he doesnt walk through the "talking zone" all the time. As it is now, people gather around the fire and have Molterz walk between them all the time.

The stores in Esgaroth could use some trash cans.

You're a bit of a healing nut aren't you :P Stop getting hurt so often!

Could the names of the new Dms be added to the Dms board if not already done please :)
