Was there an anti-cartography movement recently? The vender in britain, Ashur, was replaced by Kalb, whom has fewer maps on em. Then, the guy in moonglow now only has 155 maps instead of the 224. Did i miss something? Not that big of a deal, but im jsut curious as to the motive.
could it maybe be that someone is buying some of the maps but not all of them? :)
unfortunatly not, ive been checking it, it is constantly the same number of maps. and that wouldnt explain the change of name for the vendor in brit. :P
sometimes if theres a problem with a vendor (or someone is silly enough to kill one :D) it would respawn with a different name. However i doubt that would affect the number of maps being sold on it.
i implore you to check it out...
ashure had 49 maps, the guy in moonglow had 224
kalb has 35, the guy in moonglow now has 155

hey I noticed that too.
theres a random amount of stock that is given to the npc each time it restocks, it just appears that the ones your looking at are rather low.
....so if they were random restocks before, why were they consistantly the same number, ashur at 49, and moonglow man at 224?
Btw, what does the trophy next to your name mean?
the trophy is to do with the forum arcade
as for maps, they werent :) there were plenty of times when i was doing carto that i went to the carto guys and they had different amounts of maps to last time i visited.

its almost impossible to take Pile-Z records though! Try taking all of mr sugercubes game records, that would take a life time! I lose my records almost daily.
I make all my money with maps.......over this past year here is what i've seen....
The vendor will stock the same number of maps until he is killed. He then will respawn with a new name and a new random number of maps to sell. I suspect that each vendor has a low and high limit and that the random amount to be stocked must fall between these two parameters.....but this is just a guess.

If you don't like the stocked amount....hope the vendor gets killed so that the new vendor will restock a different amount.....more to your liking.
Pfft kill it yourselves. Gees when I was doing carto etc I did my own killing I didn't come here and cry ;(.

could always go to smuggler in cove to pick up a few extra maps (plus hes easier to kill if u dont like the number he offers :P )
