Another stupid question - Leveling bonus

Ok - working on fencing on a new charcter, in newb dungeon - dagger vs. Skelton.

I keep getting something that says leveling bonus, 1 damage (or real close to that).
I figured had to be due to the expirence system on the shard, type .exp - still level 1, 1 exp. so that does not explain it. all these +1 damage thigs can't be right or I would be doing like 50 damage a hit with a dagger. Can someone explain this to me , please.

the +1 damage means that on that hit you get to do 1hp extra damage than you normally would :D

so the +1 is good for 1 hit, then back to normal, sort of bummer.
Thanks I did read the EXP thing. The damage gained with higher levels is ONLY for PvP right. :duel:

the damage bonus applies to pvp and pvm, the 'special abilities' are used against players only.

how much extra damage can you do per level, all the EXP page says is
*You're granted extra damage in combat.*
say I some how make it to level 20 in the future, how much extra can I expect to do?

Following paragraph has been added to the Experience System page on the website:

The extra damage you receive increases as you reach new levels. The amount of damage applied is equal to your current experience level. If your enemy is another player, this damage will be reduced by their experience level (if they have a higher level, you cannot apply experience damage). This means at level 20, your extra damage will equal 20 points. If your enemy was a level 5 player, your extra damage would be reduced to 15 points.

well with the new clarity, I just realized, being a super newb charcter like mine, if a level 40 guy hit me with a hally I would be insta killed, with my whopping 56 str. hehehe. Guess I had better stay the heck away from brit bridge. :notmydad:
Although - the 3 reds I did meet there one day with my crafter(mule) decided not to kill me. Do the reds not like to spank people they know have 0 chance of fighting back?

depends which red it is, some will kill any player they can get, some will only fight players that they think can actually fight back.
