I'm getting a little tired of this. From the previous thread "randomly missing locked down items?" It is my house that is being talked about. Now only my friend in the game has a key i have changed the locks put down a strong box every thing that was formentioned to try and yet i still end up magically looseing large quantites of crafting items That i have spent collecting (9K in logs, 12kof night shade,8k of all other regs, 800 alchemy bottles* and yes scorpion 6969 can verify this is truth not some lame made up thing. I even went as far as getting rid of chests. and yet It still happens after i aquire large quantities of of items put them in the house including the strong box because bank has a weight limit I'ill log in the next day and its all gone. once i can understand twice maybe my fault. but this has happened 5 times in a row. so what is the issue and what can be done to fix this problem.:mgun:
P.S. thats alot of time that was spent for nothing. Please help i like the shard and don't want to leave but this is rediculous.

my first guess would be to look into who else might have key/co-owner access
if there are too many items in an area then some will vanish, so if your friends house was very large with lots of items on that might be the cause
It could be that someone stealthed outside his door, waited for someone to come in and then sneak in.
Really from what you've said there are thousands of possibilities for how it could happen.
as well as that it could be:
shard crash after you get the items but before the next worldsave
tbh unless you can prove you had the items+that a bug/illegal activity made you lose them then theres nothing that can be done.
Pilz-e do that guy a favor, and use your gm powers to find out if the said items are for some reason falling to under his house.
thankyou, i never would have thought of that on my own
but incase you hadnt noticed he hasnt actually stated where his house is

*wonders where the character name was even given* :)
i think pilz is being picked on lol

I was expecting the flack from this and the u must have proof thing my house is in moonglow 34'32N buy 220'46E Charecters to the house Tweek, reapers curse, triptophan, monty cristo, teamatt wise.the fact of the mater is that there is a glitch some where and it has been discussed before.
well having looked theres nothing there to suggest where your items went. So really unless you can give me something more to work with theres very little that can be done.

I'm in glow also, locked down 20K in gold, ran to town, logged out. Logged on other charcter, ran back to house(total time about 90 seconds. Boom, 20K gone. My house is close to wlfrunner. I'm the one with his key, and I never touch any of his stuff. Hell the only reason I have a key is so I can cook using his forge.
sometimes gold tends to fall under the floor more than other items, using the .underwear command can allow you to see it, or you could use circle of transparency from outside the house, or you could page a gm to look for it (items that fall under a house will decay eventually though)

Ive had gold fall under a house when coming to pick it up on a character, then came back on the character i put the gold down on and it was in the house. just funny sometimes.

wow what a touching story GM_Black  i had a tear in my eye :P
but seriously have you tryed having no one with a key to your house + no one with co-owner to your house... because i got a house in moonglow and i've never had a problem :)

I don't steal his stuff, and other then me no one has a key, but him. So crap disappearing is messed up. My place up on ice has never had anything disappear, ever.
Is it possibly a bug with small houses? I could get a larger house, and move to yew or something.
the only bugs related to this that is known of is that sphere sometimes lets items fall under the floor and that if too many items are in an area some will start to vanish. However it cant afaik make the bottom fall out of a container (refering back to the original problem)

do bigger houses have the same problems?
both bugs are relevant for all types of house
I have seen the case where items were placed in a 3 story house and they could be seen from the floor below, but not on the floor in which they were placed. I was able to drag the area and pick them up, much like what we do when in a dungeon and a fire elemental drops his gold into the ground. You can't see it, but its there.
I have had the problem on another shard with "too many" items placed in one area, here may be a solution you may like. I used this on another shard, I assume it works here too.
Place as many items you can onto your pack animal. Shrink the pack animal. Place the pack animal in your box. The weight of the items will not be counted......(smiles). When you need the items just unshrink the pack animal. I would test it with a couple of items of little value, before I tried it with your most prized possessions.
in a previous script update MrSugarCube made it so that pets drop all items they are carrying when they are shrunk, therefore i doubt your idea would work on loth Job.

so 30 pieces of dead bodies and a runebook in the middle the runebook could vanish in a small stone shop?well bout 15 on each floor and my runebook was on the top
From the rules page
Please do not hoard items that you do not need, this causes server lag and other problems, there is a limit to the amount of items that can co-exist in the same area which is a couple of thousand, exceeding this will most likely cause all the items to vanish.
it is not just the items in your house that will affect it, it is possible that if there are several other houses nearby as well that it will add up to an excessive amount of items.
In your particular case Goten i'd suggest that either:
1. the runebook fell through the floor
2. someone entered your house and took it

1. i looked under the floor
2. noone else has a key and the door was locked with the runebook in the middle of the top floor...
