Error Messages

One of my new characters is getting an error message when mining. Any ideas?

I'll try to copy the error message for you. It may be tomorrow, before I post.

Also.......

I gm'd music and peacemaking on a new character. I fail most of the time. Again, any ideas why??

I have not seen info on this skill, could you post some basics for me.
For example,

Is there a certain distance from the creature that you have to be?
Do you have to be in LOS?
What levels are necessary for what creatures (like what's listed for taming)?

I realize this is not a major skill, so I don't need a lot of info.

Looking for info on peacemaking a dragon, drake, wyrm, firewisp??(can't remember the name), dungeon boss.

error message for mining now gone,......everything working great!!(I actually got the message yesterday).

The error message shown when mining is known about, and is possibly fixed. In either case it isn't important and doesn't mean anything ;)

For peacemaking, you do not need LOS to be successful, but you need to be in range of the creature, which is 1 tile per 20% peacemaking (100% = 5 tiles).
The difficulty is calculated differently, depending on the creature. If the creature can be tamed, then the average of your peacemaking and musicianship skills must at least match the taming requirement (as listed on the taming skill page). Other creature difficulties are calculated differently using combat skills and statistics. You should reach the requirement for most creatures with both musicanship and peacemaking GMed.
