Scroll books

I'm just curious, what's the point of scroll books if they don't reduce the weight of the scrolls? With a scroll book I can hold about 250 scrolls, which is the same as without the scroll book. So what's the point?

i use it to stack scrolls (something you cant do normally) and to help organise them (so i can use the "fill spellbook" button)

To avoid creating a new thread just to make another question, I'll ask it here.

What's the point of potion kegs? Bottles are stackable, lockable and ready to use.

I could see the point if bottles weren't stackable.
