View Full Version : getting an error when loading the client

ok i got a problem.....I downloaded ultima online: modaines legacy and installed the wireplay lothlorien patch on it.....and when i load the client it gives me an error "client.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
what should i do to fix it?

I tried to do evrything reinstall the client and the nthe patch:type: but nothing works still the same message

are you letting the client auto patch before installing the loth patch over it? If so that could be the cause of the problem.

no all i did was install the client and then the patch over it.........

what id do was to just download age of shadows or somthin

1)Install 2D version of Mondains Legacy
2)Close setup when it asks you if you want to run Mondains Legacy(which patches it I think)
3)Extract lothlorien patches to your Ultima Online 2D folder(overwrite all existing files)
4)Run the client and play

ok it worked but i have another question......when i press [enter] to type i cant see the letters
or easier to say i cant type
what do i do?

do you mean ingame?
If so the 3 most common causes of this are:
1. corrupted UO download/install
2. transerv problems (http://uo.wireplay.co.uk/index.php?p=viewarticle&id=43)
3. you've put yourself on your own ignore list (this would mean you cant see your text but everyone else can)

were is the ignore list??? and about the first one i tried to play on other servers threw uo-gateway and i can type there.....also tried the second one and it doesnt work

the ignore list is kept in a rather helpful little file called "ignore.lst" in your uo directory.

Try changing your text colour, sometimes when it's black people can't see it and can only see it in their journal. I remember GameDaily used to have an Age of Shadows download but they removed it.

soz i tryed lookin at the sites pilze gave me wen i wanted it but both of the sites have wiped uo :/

the problem is not that nobody cant see it the problem i cant even type.....like when i press enter the little line doesnt show......I think its with the client cause same stuff happend when i tried to instal Abyss on my client when i loged in i couldnt type......but when i downloaded their client evrything was normal
