Skills question
Can you use uopowergamers skill guidefor reference?
I am at 50 smith and looking for what to build toget best skill gains.
Any advice welconme(almost lol)

Macro blacksmithy with daggers all the way. From 50 to 100.

daggers are ok but better are katanas:P

Katanas use up more iron, but you can sell/trash them to your likeing for more tickets/gold.

Is the skill not difficulty based?
I have tried daggers, chain coif, and basinet helms with next to zero gains.
400 daggers I got 0.1 but sold for 1200 gold lol.

thats why i tried katans gains = nearly same amount like daggers bur nearly 3k for 426 iron ingots ;P

Daggers all the way. Takes alot longer with katans as they need more ingots which means you need more ingots to GM.

well i dont agree (ive tested many times ones with katans and later with daggers: dagers on 1k of ingots gave me wow 0.3 skill , katanas like 0.6 + more money - less time)

I'm pretty sure the gains vary :rolleyes:. I've had several gains in a small amount of time and at other times close to nothing.

its on every skill, no matter (craft skill or fighting etc), f.e ive had 2 heal gain for 0.5 hour (1 after another and 0.5 hour break :o)

Not to change the subject but for minning does smelting 1 ore at a time give u more exp. in the skill if you wait the time or is it equal to smelting the 10 at a time sequence? i know the 10 at a time goes faster but is it more skill gain?

if u smelt less then 10 ore at a time u must wait a while till you smelt another part couse u wont gain mining. personaly i smelt 10 at a time.

Well finally got back to my smith and after 50.2 I could build scimitars and gains are much better than building daggers. 50 to 50.2 by daggers took longer then 50.2 to 51 making scimitars.
As for smelting I have on occasion gotten 2 gains from 10 ore smelting 2 at a time. To me that is worth the time. 5 chances at a gain vs 1 chance.

Correction to my previous note.
Cutlass not scimitar at 50.2 smith and I discovered that I am a lazy miner and can not smelt in 2's any longer lol.

then jus smelt in 11's thas what i used and it seemed to wqork better than 10's though t may jus be my head makin it up :/

I smelt in 1's with UO AutoPilot and it works good for gains. I had started at 50 and am now 62% in about 2 hours u just have to time it right. i just wait umtill the red letters of " you smelt the iron ore" then do it agian. u save resourses that way.
