Monday 11th September 8.30pm UK Time.
Special Arena ''Red Bull Air Race''
We'll see how many races we can fit in during 1 hour.
Rules:
NO SHOOTING at all is allowed.
There will be NO qualifying sessions.
Race starts from spawn positions, NO lining up.
1 minute before each race commences, you must ALL leave areana, scramble will be announced 1 minute after you have been told to leave, re joining at the right time could prove crucial Very Happy
Anyone not leaving will be disqualified from that race.
First race will be held in Spitfires, starting on the GB runway.
The first race will consist of 3 laps round each of the airfields in a clockwise direction - GB/GE/US/SU.
All racers MUST fly around the oil drums at the left end of each runway and down the entire length of each runway. (Hint - stay below 7 metres or you'll get damaged by AAA guns and jeopardise your chances of winning.) No flying Above AA on you will be disqualified.
Anyone crashing before the end of the first runway may restart, but if you crash after this point you must sit and wait for the next race.
Racers may land to repair should they wish to do so.
First pilot to complete 3 laps and pass the finish line (The end of the runway of the starting nationality) will be declared the winner.
Results of each race will be posted on the NB at the earliest opportunity.
After a short cig/beer break, the second race will commence straight afterwards
There will be at least 4 races, one from each runway, during this race night.
So first race will be in GB spits
2nd Race will be in GE 109's
3rd Race will be in US Mustangs
4th race will be in SU LA7's
if we have time we will do a 5th 6th etc swapping planes to hurcs, 190's buses
IF you missed out on any previous AA race events, you missed a barrel of laughs and some real tension, with the fear of taking AA hits, colliding on the first turn or being caught whilst in the lead, filling your thoughts before the start.
