Ive noticed ive been laging alot after the update, before the update i was lag free and could run without a hint of lag. A number of other clients have noticed they have started to lag after the update aswell. Could this be fixed please if possible?

Thanks

Bad Pings/Packet Loss? - Wireplay Community Forums (http://forums.wireplay.co.uk/showthread.php?t=310040)

if you follow those instructions it might help to find the cause :)

Agreed, I lag a fair bit constantly since the update, then rubber band badly intermittently. Connection is fine 20ms, 0loss, had a poll running while playing and it is not a connection issue. Tried latest client 5.0.6 and 2.0.3, reinstalled etc, no difference.

define "didnt work" :)

that program isnt meant to fix your lag, it just watches your connection while you play, then you send that information to the e-mail address listed and wireplay admins look at it, say "ooh thats interesting, how we fix it is <X>" :P

...and once we get the email we can see if the problem is within the Pipex network or something further afield.

The lag is not connection related i don't think, me and gohan both lag at the same times and our connections are peachy, as i posted before, ive ran continous pings in the background and there is no spiking or loss, nice smooth 20-25~ ms.

It could be that it's not the server, or your internet connection, but one of Pipex's network connections, or something simalair. All the same, this darn lag is still a pain in the arse.

The traces and polls prove its not a connection problem for me, and if it isnt a connection problem for me, it probably isnt for everyone else.

I didn't mean it's specifically your connection, but just because you are experiencing lag doesn't mean it's Loth either, it could be something in between.

This is what traceroutes and continous polls can detect, im well aware that there are 8 hops for me to the server, and they all ping 20-25~ ms constantly.

So, we sent our results, and we wait, wait some more, can someone please tell of any progress or recognition of a problem, or if anything is even going to be done at all...

From the results we have had so far, we have identified the following:

1 person had a virus/spyware on their pc
Couple of Pipex related issues which seem to have cleared up (due to changes within the Pipex network)
Few issues relatiing to international isp's and the route they take to the uk (ie bounces all over america first)

Please keep sending them in if you have problems.

What can I do then when the traces are fine, i even tried reinstalling uo several times, different router, different pc, and still the same lag which doesnt show on any traces. Id say that pretty much rules out anything my end...
