Skulltag (Doom) server

Hi everyone just to let you know we have a Doom server running on the retro server, im still jigging with the settings so it may be a bit unstable for a while.

You can download Skulltag from Here (http://www.skulltag.com/download/)
You will need the Doom2.wad to play, if you have Doom 2 so much the better :E it also uses the Skulltag wad but if you have d/l Skulltag that wont be a problem, if you havn't D/L it !!!!

We now have a Deathmatch server and a CTF server details below

Deathmatch
The server name is Wireplay Skulltag DM Server
and the ip of the server is 194.154.191.1:10666

CTF
The server name is Wireplay Skulltag CTF server
and the ip of the server is 194.154.191.1:10667

Both the servers are set to 12 players currently, the maps are also set to random too. And the DM server has 2 bots on it as well.

I am the only Admin atm, any problems i can normally be found on irc in either #wireplay or #wpretro . Or you can email me at lieutlaww@wireplay.co.uk
Also if you have any comments or suggestions about the servers either post here or make a new thread.

Always wanted to play Doom online but I missed out and had to settle for Duke 3D as my first multiplayer fps.

Don't have Doom 2 so the above point is kinda mute.

Why does the DM server alternate between DM and CTF? :doom: ;)

bots keep disappearing after certain maps looking into that now, ctf could be cos i have the skulltag maps in there too and some of them are ctf by the looks of things

It's up to you mate but my vote is for DM only ;) Would it be possible to run the tlsdm2004 wad or maybe Dwango5 or 6. Greenwar is another solid Dm selection. I think I sent you dwango 5 if memory serves me well?

I wasn't going to post about this but after a quick Pm in IRC decided it is best to highlight problems. I would be curious if anyone else is experiencing the same?

The performance I get from the server when it starts filling up is very up and down. Has anyone else experienced these issues........?

The pictures in question are over a 5 - 10 min period playing.
