I've stumbled onto one particularly nice hakpak recently:
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=hakpaks.Detail&id=7332
Basically, it provides much more realistic (and rich!) set of medieval weapons and armour. Aside from very nice looks, it also has some race-specific tailored armours for hobbits (http://nwvault.ign.com/fms/Image.php?id=104695) that really look much better than stock NWN models (I've always found the latter very bulky and clumsy looking on hobbits). Then there are single-handed spears (http://nwvault.ign.com/fms/Image.php?id=103104) to use with the shields for Rohirrim, and I'm sure the Knights will also appreciate proper full plate and helms (http://nwvault.ign.com/fms/Image.php?id=103087) :) I wonder if this could be of use for UTT2 for the sake of further eyecandy and such?
Also, here's something interesting from the discussion there:
Some very helpful chaps on the Forum helped me find a script that allows for recoverable ammunition. It works like this:
If you fire at an enemy and miss, the missile is lost.
If you fire at an enemy and hit, the missile is added to the enemy’s inventory (if it passes a saving throw, else it is lost) and is then available to be recovered after the enemy dies.
This script has worked very well in playtesting, and along with certain adjustments to missile quiver capacity and weight, gives a much more realistic feel to missile combat – along with a few surprising but plausible quirks. My PC once threw a handaxe across a chasm, striking a bandit. It hit him, and he promptly threw the damn thing back at me!
What do you think about all this?
