I got banned because glitching, but I didn't do it to win the match or something. I saw that pillar has made a way to the roof, but I just went there for like 30secs and jumped down. Why permanent ban for this :( ? I think the Wireplay servers are best of ZM, so could I get to play again, please? I won't do it again. Sorry what I did. I thought you could get a warning or something first.

No cheating. Cheating of *ANY* kind, INCLUDING ABUSING MAP EXPLOITS (aka GLITCHING) will result in an IMMEDIATE PERMANENT BAN & your ID reported to Steam. We couldn't care less if it's your daughter's/son's/wife's/fiancée's/fiancé's/brother's/sister's/cousin's/uncle's/friend's/dog's/stranger's PC (or even a PC at an Internet Café) or that someone may have had access to your PC & may have 'accidentally' put a cheat on. Also, pathetic excuses like "I didn't know I was cheating" or "I was only trying/testing it" or "I was only having a go" don't work here. The Valve Anti-Cheat Tool is on the Servers for a reason - so don't even think about it.

Hi I sprayed a turd on the wall and i got banned for that,, i have seen worse sprays on the server and i would have changed it if someone just told me to....
This is about the only server i've been playing on and i've enjoyed it alot! so umm, was I permanently banned?

Let me be VERY clear about one thing, the rules of the server are written plainly on this forum, the URL for the rules is advertised as such on the servers themselves, ignorance of the rules is not an excuse, neither is "well he did it for ages so why am i punished?" Admins cannot be everywhere at once, as much as we try we won't catch everyone, but rest assured if you are caught breaking the rules there will be consequences.

We want this to be a fun and healthy community where players get can just jump on to a server without any of that cr*p and have a good game, these rules are in place for the benefit of everyone.

So I logged onto a ZM server ive been playing regularly this week and there was a mod by the name of N something R Pestilence who was threatening to kick people for speaking french. He kicked several of them out just for speaking another language and later kicked me for defending them. He stated its in the rules that you couldnt speak another language because you could be saying bad things about him.

Im hoping this isnt the normal attitude of your admins as i play weird hours, so ofcourse most of the people playing wont be speaking english. Thanks in advance for a reply, ill be heading back in and hope i dont get banned.

Surely it isn't a reason of ban (i don't know), but you were annoying playing as ZM and doing nothing more than puting all the HULKS (which you were respawning non-stop) in front of the Sacrifice Chamber in defensive mode for more than 15 minutes, and that's just the first time i played with you. Knowing this, guess what, i'm not surprised you got banned from another thing.

Having looked through the server logs I have come to the conclusion that Pestilence was wrong to ask people to stop speaking another language on the server, there is NO such rule which says that you cannot speak french (or any other language) on our server. Pestilence has explained why he asked you to keep to english and i understand his reasons for doing it, despite them being wrong.

HOWEVER, the english behavoir of the two french speaking players was unacceptable, they were booted from the server for using offensive language towards another player, worse, they aimed it at an admin. If you have a complaint THIS IS THE THREAD TO DO IT IN. shouting, swearing and saying abusive things to an admin is NOT acceptable (I have read the log of the incident and i know everything that was said) We have rules and while pestilence was in the wrong on one count he was right to issue the ban on you.

The ban has been reduced to 12 hours and i will make it clear now that there is NO rule that says only english speakers on our servers, scorpion was banned for breaking a rule that DOES exist and i promise that if players are witnessed breaking any other rules on our servers we will take action.

EDIT: Newbie is not an offensive word, it is simply used to define someone who is new to something, N00b however is seen as mildly offensive to some people and we do not encourage that kind of language on our servers

The only reason you were kicked was because I asked them to speak english but they refused and replied with insults and childish behaviour. For this reason you were kicked for joining in their insults. In future I will not pursue language spamming and I deeply apologise to the two in question. Pestilence.

Hmm, i was banned for 48 hours once. I waited them. I tried to join the server after that. No way. I checked the ban data, and my nick, Michael Blackson, permanently banned for racism. What kind of racism? You mean the nick? ALL people i played with found that funny, not racist and offensive. I didn't have an idea i can be offending to someone and racist. It's not nice when a person who reads all the rules, disobeys them, pays for his mistake, get's permanently banned without a warning while having no idea he can be offending. Can you do something about it? You could just tell me to change it, i didn't know someone feels offended. Anyways, sorry for the overuse of word offensive. I think in such situations you could at least get a warning first, i mean, if anyone complained to me, i'd change the nick. Maybe you do the bans too automatically, all people i know laughed really hard when i told them how racist Michael Blackson is :/

This evening tried to connect and saw the "your steam ID is banned from this server" message. Definitively i have no idea what happened i would apreciate if some admin can explain me what's on. Although i'm not listed in the ban list and i can enter other wireplay servers :disgust:

I'm (AliVe)-lightning and i have been banned for racism yes i said the n word once but before that a nother guy had been calling me along with all the other players that word shooting the barricades we've been making to stop the zombies and shooting the explosive barrels well we were walking so they hurt us killed me 2 times with that so i retaliated and he freaked out and left.
i know what i did was wrong. i wish i told ssmmdd what i did before someone reported me. and IF i am unbanned i wil never break a ruel again.

This is an apology from me, to well, anyone I have annoyed

I got banned today for glitching (I had done this earlier today).

However, when i did go on roof I never ran to the end and won the map
I did not shoot from the roof
I did kill myself BEFORE I was the last man standing
I did not use it to get past zombies
I did not use it to get out of tight spots
I did not take and weapons up with me

I am happy to accept whatever punishment you wish to give me

Hello i got banned about 3 minutes ago because i was told i was glitching a door.

here is my side of the stroy, thanks for taking ur time to read this and plz dont rage at me:

i was the ZM and at the 1st keycard door i summond 5 zombies infront of the door, 1 soon realised 1 of them was "stuck" (I was spawning the zombies to attack the humans when they open the door) in the door but i did not think that was a problem, then about 2 minutes laters i was kicked from console, i joined back in again after about 5 mintes and i said sorry, then this guy changed his name to console and i told him "hey stop that lol" and then me and him started just chit chatting and typing random NON offensive words and i soon get banned, this might be due to the fact that the admin took this as mockery or just had a bad day at work but i do apologies and now i am aware of what i should and should not do as i have only been playing zm for 4 days and i <3 it!!! and i want to play on your servers more often because ur gaming quality and standards are GREAT!!

Hope you take time to think about my side of the story and maby come to a good dicision

I was banned from a long time now...
I was wondering if i could get a desban? Because I glitched (in the max 3, 4 times) just for fun and didnt use it to win the match at all.
Now that the ZM received its "last" update, I was wondering if i could get a desban to play in a 24/7 redqueen server again, that is my favorite map by far.
My nick is probably Gman or xSnAkEx i cant remember it anymore.

Glitching == Permanent Ban.

Permanent == Permanent, everlasting, non-stop, etc.

Glitching, be it for fun, to show off, to win, to shoot people, to get a bigger e-penis, is still Glitching. Therefore, regardless of why you were Glitching, you were Permanently Banned.

Alright, it says you banned me for 1 month (outragous amount of time) for playing stupid music which i was in fact doing, but it wasn't vulgar, and it was requested by other players. It says I was warned once by use of Mute, when did this mute occur? because I was not told or alerted of this mute. Therefore, I wasn't given a warning at all, which should mean that this is my warning. How do I know if I've been muted if I'm not told or anything. was there a message saying Millard Fillmore muted?? no, nothing like it either. you admins here at wireplay sure have a strange way of doing things. you just ban people because ya feel like it??

1. One of the rules on the Wireplay Zombie Master Servers is no Mic Spam. We include playing music as Mic Spam, but upon checking the rules page, that's not explained too well. I'm not sure why as I'm pretty damn certain I put that playing stupid music/tunes/sounds/etc is regarded to us as Mic-Spam, but I will re-add it.

2. You were warned, you were muted, AND YOU DAMN WELL KNEW you were muted, as the Server TELLS EVERYONE when a person is muted. This is backed up in the fact that the other players at the time thanked me for turning your crap off.

3. We've decided to increase our minimum Ban periods, as we thought that people thought we were being too nice. So therefore our minimum Ban period is a Month. I have reduced it to two weeks as per item 1, but I point blank refuse to drop it any further. If you're still not happy with this, you will need to speak to either Cmndr0 or SteveP.

It did not say i was muted, it said that another person, one of my friends was muted. Thats the only time that anyone has been muted when i've been playing. maybe you muted the wrong person? Because it was not I that was muted, I just thought i would clear that up. Because there was no server message saying I had been muted, and people could still hear me. But whatever, I'm sure your still not gonna care so I might as well just bugger off and join a server that doesn't have 10 thousand rules hangin' out their asses

Also, this really does not make any sence to me, I got banned for 30 days for playing music, but someone glitched out of the map and was only banned for 3 days? Is it just me, or is that a little bit unfair? Because to me, it doesn't seem right

Upon checking the bans database I see that your ban is currently at 2 weeks, I consider this reasonable after looking through the server logs, if you want to take this higher to prove your total innocence I can easily hunt out the evidence to the contrary.

If you really want to go to another community then by all means please! I just feel sorry for whatever admin has to put up with you.

We have ten rules count em, TEN. And they're there so that ALL players can have a good time on our servers without disruption.

I can't see a 3 day ban for glitching anywhere on the database, but if it's there then it was added before we instituted the new system, that new system being me getting pissed off at how players were abusing our servers and deciding bans should be longer.

I'll use this post for another issue too while i'm at it. Pirates, I'm well aware that many people carrying the pirate tag are causing trouble on 03, so if I see any of you blocking, glitching whatever it will be a 2 week ban, your warning is right here fellas, so pay attention.

We had the pirate tag because we weren't really playing the game, someone was hogging the key, so we just went in the basement and played music and fooled around, and to be honest, it was alot funner than actually playing the game. Im not gonna be a whiney begger like all the other saps on this thread though. I'm saying the server is good, its fun, but its a quick map, after playing it long enough it gets boring. Also when i had the pirate tag, I was not blocking or glitching, just thought i would mention that.

I dont want to go to another community, but I supposedly recieved a warning by means of mute, and I was never notified of this, it seems unfare to me, if i were notified I of course would of stopped.

Also I think you should revise the rule on mic spam, lets say the people playing want music, then it wouldn't be spam would it? because it may be spamming the microphone chat system, but it is not annoying the players, which is what the prohibition of spam is supposed to do, stop players from being annoyed.

Can I just ask that someone goes through the log and check for me, because i did not see my name muted when there was a mute that happened, it was someone elses. I would like it if you could check to see if i was muted because if i was, I am terribly sorry and I guess i just missed it on the chat log, although I probably would of noticed it in console when i was looking at songs.

A few days ago i tried to join the Edge gamers organistation, but they would not accept me due to the fact my Steam ID is perma banned from one of your zm servers;
The reason that i am banned is that " Mic spamming and sparying porn sprays"
That was not me, that was some stupid idiot clan guys that were playing in the server at same time as me. Another thing is that i dont have a mic, and i NEVER use porn sprays due to the fact that i would get banned from my server aswell .

You also state in my ban that my gaming name is something that it is not as mine is [1337Peen] Liambo2, I would greatlyappreicate it if i could have this ban lifted as it was put on the wrong person

Please, do tell valve all about it, because they obviously tell us how to run servers of a mod that is not under their control run on machines in no way associated with them.

If your account has been hacked and abused then that's unfortunate but lets face it, if you were in our position would you really have any reason to believe someone who had no proof that it wasn't their doing?

cos here's the bottom line. according to ban logs and server logs you were banned for spraying pornographic material and mic spamming. our spray tracker plugin does not make mistakes with names as it goes by the steamID of the sprayer, according to the logs you were banned by steamID, this means that your name could not have been confused with another.

On a side note, our servers and server monitoring programs record ALL the names attached to ANY steamID that has played on our servers, so saying that it wasn't your name is kind of useless.

I will check one more time tomorrow, however, it is unlikely that anything will be different on the main server logs. Shotgun scientist is not an admin who makes mistakes.

And I DO remember GF, as a rule, GF members were banned on their first offence due to their continued and obviously intentional rule breaking on 03.

You are blatently associated with the GF clan, as you had the tag in your name. your name was tied to your steam id, which is yours and no other persons. unless your account has been hacked, in which case you should have chosen a stronger password, it was you. We will check the ip address from the machine you used to the IP address of the machine you are using to access these forums, but I don't rate your chances. The EDGEGAMERS organisation is unaffiliated with Wireplay, and we cant control who they ban or why.

No one reads server "rules" when they enter the game most players don't want to read 400 lines of blah blah yadda yadda they just want to have fun and enjoy themselves.... why would you permaban someone with an "unconnected" name...?
I asked the admin to prove he was an admin by kicking me ...Shotgun Scientist i just asked to prove you were admin you could have done so with just a kick and not a ban I would have came back with a changed name like you asked, there's lots of kids who pose as admins on your servers... so thats how i test to see if you're really an admin or not by kick proof..and you even made the ban permanent...why would you do that... there's very few people as it is on zombie master...

Does the term "Bear baiting" mean anything to you?
I have noticed several admin imposters in the last few months but we have dealt with them without mercy.
Unconnecteds are banned permanently and as soon as they are found to be on the server that is the rule, whether or not you actually read the rules when you came to our server is not my concern because as we have written, ignorance is no excuse.
Our rules exist so that the majority of players can enjoy their game, We've made them as short and to the point as we feel is needed.

I also Agree with JamesBPK and Shotgun, your ban stays as is.

EDIT: To make things clearer there will now be a repeating advertisement on our 03 server reminding players where to find our forums and rules.

We have a plugin on the DoD servers that requires new players to acknowledge the server rules within 30 seconds of joining, or they will be kicked :)

I also have a demo for proof of what happened, i forgot i had it recording while i was playing to show everyone what exactly happened. I will upload it perhaps.

The ban itself doesn't bother me anyway even if the ban stays on that id its not like i can't get another steam id free. Its just, the rule for banning someone with a name someone else doesn't like is ridiculous, it's like silencing freedom whether its against rules or not...

Heh, I do love it when people bring out the old human rights card.

"unconnected" and similar names are used by players in order to cheat on servers without the admins being able to ban them, fortunately on wpzm, we use an admin plugin that gets around this problem so we can hand out the bans no matter what, that includes after players disconnect.

If you want to try to support your case with a demo go right ahead, we're perfectly willing to look at evidence.

EDIT: We can ban by name, steamID, IP address and a few others, so if anyone plans to reoffend by using another steamID we can always catch you out some other way.
