L4d 4 ps3?

The OPM, Official Playstation Magazine, has today revealed in its latest issue that Left 4 Dead will indeed be coming to Playstation3. It will be ported, once again, by EA.

"Valve's survival horror game Left 4 Dead is coming to PS3, but EA will be taking on development duties in-house."

The Orange Box PS3 has been one catastrophic port. For these past 8 months, PS3 gamers have repeatedly expressed their disgust and anger towards both EA and VALVE, asking for a fix. Even a petition started by Mike Seedon was published on this website: http://orangeboxpetition.com/

Will PS3 gamers do the same mistake twice? I do not think so.

I personally believe VALVE always had negative intentions regarding the PS3 port. Their one and only goal through it were to convince PS3 gamers that Sony's Playstation3 was a failure; in other terms, a system that could not support an engine as old as the SOURCE engine. This of course would lead the PS3 customer to give up on Orange Box after a while, and then purchase it once again for the PC.

This guy expects us to believe Valve would intentionally piss Sony off and in doing so ruin any further lucrative gaming deals? I don't generally buy FPS's for any console as my own personal belief is they cannot compare to a PC. Can anyone here who fell into the PS3 OB trap reference any official statements from Valve or Sony that reinforce Mr Seedons' hunch?

PS3 Left Out of left 4 Dead

Rumors have been swirling on the internet that Valve's eagerly awaited zombie shooter Left 4 Dead for the Xbox 360 and PC would also be hitting the PLAYSTATION 3. Seems those rumors have been smashed pretty hard for the time being by Valve's Doug Lombardi, who states:

I Hate PS3, never, RAWWWWRRRRRRR

(There is no PS3 version of Left 4 Dead currently in production.)

Hey, maybe there will be one day! But that day is not today.
