With Opera 9.52 even the start page does not work. With Internet Explorer 7 you so everything fine, but it is all very tiny. Here (http://i395.photobucket.com/albums/pp40/DM_Eonwe/Starwire_Screenshot_IE7.jpg) is a screenshot. As you may see, the picture of the crystal mine is also flickering. Because of the font size, I was not able to test yet.

The font size for IE should now be usable, its had a little bad effect in Firefox but still works fine, ill get a full fix done as soon as possible ( which will allow opera to use the sites frames )
My day job is games tester so i may have gotten a little carried away :P
Buglist:
During registration password only needs to be typed once, better if typed twice for safety. [Noted - will be done ]
Welcome email comes from odd address (if this can be changed) and the content should be tidied up. [ - Should be fixed in next version - ]
Name and password boxes obscured on login screen. [ This is an IE bug, i have a fix but wont be able to apply it for a few days ]
French text on the overview screen: in the experience and temperature fields and the word raideur. [ Noted - Still trying to work out what Raideur means ]
Cristal spelt wrongly on overview screen, should be “crystal”. [ French spelling, will change ]
Graphical corruption on 1 frame of “2.gif” the crystal mine picture http://starwire.wireplay.co.uk/skins/xnova/gebaeude/2.gif [ Ill make a new one soon ]
Defense is spelt incorrectly, “defence” is the correct UK English spelling. :P [ meh ]
Defense tab on side bar appears to like to the shipyard page. [ Ill look into it ]
No indication of how many points it will take to recruit an officer.[ - Sorted for next version -
Central bar in the server rates table moves as the sidebar tabs are highlighted. [ Another IE bug, already fixed ]
Total on resources page never says what length of time this refers to, hourly presumably. [ Ill add a note ]
Storage information bars aren’t working on the resources page. [ Will look into it ]
Statistics page has no data on it (or will it only show things when I encounter players?). [ Not sure about this one, will look into it ]
French text on the Market page. [ Will sort it ]
Buddy list and notes pages open in new windows (on purpose?). [ this is by design :P ]
Notes page has French text after adding/deleting a note. [ Will fix ]
After adding/deleting a note the page says redirecting but nothing happens. [ Will look into it ]
French word on the Chat page: Texte. [ Will sort it ]
Text formatting doesn’t appear to work on the chat system. [ Not sure about this chat system, i may upgrade it to irc ]
Many general options don’t appear to do anything. [ Ill look into this too ]
The Imperium (empire overview) page doesn’t update the buildings on it until the user looks at the Buildings page. [ Ive noticed this myself , same with resources page ]
Starwire Team page has no reference to wireplay or wannabe. ;) [ heh ]
Message telling me I didn’t have enough resources to build the building I put in the queue was gibberish. :P [ Bad translation prolly, i used automated and then corrected , prolly missed this one ]
Logging out should return the user to the login screen ideally. [ Will fix ]
Putting the mouse over the number at the top of the sidebar moves the sidebar about. [ IE bug - already fixed ]
On resources page does capacity 1.000 k mean 1000? Because if so you don’t seem to be able to get enough resources to build the buildings that let you store more. :P
Full stops appear to be used instead of commas when indicating thousands of resources. [ will fix, prolly my translation error ]
After running making buildings that used more energy than I had I changed my crystal production to 80% giving me positive total energy again, but the production coming from my buildings including the solar plant was shown as a negative number, although the totals were correct. [ This is an issue with sparodic updating, will look into it ]
Feature requests:
Nice to see maximum resource storage at the top on every screen if possible. [ Added to next version ]
Would like to know energy usage of buildings before building them. [ added ]
After sending a message it would look better it went to a different page [ This is actually a bug ]
Buddy request text box could be bigger [ Another IE bug, will be sorted ]
Adding buildings to the queues should mention the level of the building. [ Added to next version ]
Sorry about that. :P
Contact me if you need any more details on anything there. :)
Overview page:
(Rang sur 9) ?
Cristal
Raideur
Mineur
Starwire 0.8 is wierd on man menu and judders on mouse over.
spy can be sent without having any ships and brings back wierd reports in foreign language [ Will look into this ]
ave temp of planets is way cold? [ Ill sort it ]
would like to queue without resources [ Make a post, see what others think ]
will post more
And a few more I and some others on irc found, some overlap with neds but im too lazy to take them out now I've written them down :P:
Bugs:
No indication I had received a buddy request till I looked at the list manually. [ Noticed this too, will add a notice ]
Alliance information page has “Allianz” instead of Alliance at the top of the page. [ Will fix ]
French word (maybe) “Bewerben” on the alliance page [ On it ]
Espionage report message has some French text on it.
Text overlaps the tick boxes slightly on the messages. [ IE error i belive will look into it ]
Selecting the [i] on the technology to see the perquisites takes the user to a page containing French text. [ Yes, this is a big job for me to translate, im working on it :P ]
After sending a message text appears at the top of the screen with unnecessary punctuation “The message has been sent.; !”
I seem so be able to send 0 espionage probes to places and get data back :P [ Will fix this asap ]
You can select no ships ( I have none to select) on the missions page and select continue, causing an error. [ Will look into it ]
French text “rang sur” on the overview screen [ On it ]
“A hostile fleet of planets Wert0pia[1:2:5] was sighted near your planet” is part of the message received when a planet is espionage probed.
French text and/or misspellings on the market page.
The accepted into alliance message has some French text and a missing space “L'Alliance Wireplay Regularshas accepted your application!”. [ Will fix ]
Resources and messages dissapear from the shipyard, defense, galaxy, and imperium pages. [ please explain this more ? ]
Feature request:
Refreshing (something that happens often in this kind of game :P) take the user back to the overview page, it would be better to stay on the page they have open if possible.
You should be able to click the number of messages when its 0 and still go to the messages.
Want any kind of protection against bots signing up?
:P
Whatever the bugs, this version of the game beats the *heck* out of ogame whcih you have to pay cash for bits of it.
Really well played guys!

Alliance page bugs
Using CIC as an example.
My rank is DCL when clicking Alliance, but when I click on the 'Member List' link on the page, in the list of members I'm noted as Member - think it is messed up on the extracting of rank info.
Actually, the Member list doesn't show the Points either. All are 0
Also, the left hand menu - please can it be made a little bigger?
if i look at proud through the search it shows him as a member of cic but hes not

your "IE" bugs are actually webpage bugs :P
without a doctype, and with errors in the html*, all versions of IE will render the page in quirks mode. This is almost definately not what you want, as quirks mode is about as far away from standard behaviour as you can get. The fact it looks OK in any browser is basically luck :P
If I use IE8 dev tools to force standards-compliant rendering mode**, the login page displays correctly. But that mode isn't activated unless the page is standards compliant.
Not had a chance to actually play the blighter yet, but will do so soon :P
Also, both hyperlinks in the credits page 404'd for me
* <link......> is html style. <link........../> is xhtml style. You can only use one style in a document (and you need the right doctype) but examples of both types are used.
** Or as close as IE gets, anyway

cool, just checking you knew it was a fundemental html code problem and not just the usual "ie can't render webpages for toffee" problems :P coz if you don't get the pages validating to one or other of the standards then you'll end up creating a lot more work for yourself in the future
just wanted to tell you guys i cant use the chat with in the game.
im using firefox 3.0.1
i can see the chat box but cant send chat.

To be honest the Chat is there for decoration I believe at the moment.
From what I gather, wannabe is going to be placing a whole different chat system onto the site once all the bugs have been taken care of.
ogame got rid of the feature, really they should either be directed into irc via a web client or made to join irc by mirc means. much easier if we are in the same place + irc we can try to get people to take more part in the whole of wireplay.
