If you bought this game in a shop do you have to run Steam to play it? I ask because I am arranging a game with some others for tonight and working out which servers people are on is easy through Steam.
However if it's not necessary to run Steam then I have some further questions...
If I create a locally hosted game on my PC so friends can connect, what information do I need to give them so they can join the server, and how do I find the information (e.g. server IP) in the first place? I would also want to password protect the server which in itself is easy enough, but I don't know how or when people joining would enter the password. Is it a command line thing?
