Barahir of Firienwood

As I walk through the forest of Firien Wood, wrapped in powerful silence under the trees, I remember a time when all was quiet.
My grandfather, warden of the sacred burial site of King Elendil and bard who praised his heroic deeds, was a man of no importance but to me, he was everything in my world.
My life took a turn towards the worst when the Orcs came and murder my grandfather, but before they got to me I was swept away by Akula, an old Easterling warrior. Through the years he taught me his language as all about the forest as did my grandpa and taught me the ways of the Battleaxe.
When he died, I go forward into the world to bring vengeance on to the defilers but also to perform as a bard the high deeds of King Elendil and learn Westron, my mother’s tongue, finally to teach others to fight and vanquish this blight on our world as King Folca did.
One day I hope to be as skilled with the axes as Akula or with the harp as my grandpa was, but for now I will just try to grow with experience.
