Actually, after extensively trawling the other boards for responces, I alighted upon this :

Er what can I say? You sneaked that into the middle of a reply, and its the single biggest thing we have been campaigning for. THANK YOU. At last things are going forward, I dont know what to say without sounding facietious (??)when I want to sound genuine (its Velvet, he has been a bad influence on me http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif).
Truly, well done, I am inspired and confident things are going to get better.
Rather than start another thread on it, I would like to say that my comments on Nit are serious and really do need looking into as you suggest. I know you have had a view on it from someone else. Also, the clubs been "running" for 3 weeks now, erm any club rules? Tournys? Anything? Has he been playing Populous? Erm no, he is in Mud2 all the time, he is just a poor student so has to watch the pennies. I understand all that, I really mean it when I say hes a nice lad (and hope he isnt going to Pea's at new year same time as me http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif)but he is NOT A CAPTAIN.

I basically said that Uprisings post (of just before mine and again probably unread) was just what I and a lot of others were after... So much so that I apologise for getting heated up - as Hog so rightly says - you are in the line of fire Uprising but you've done good if what you've suggested gets implemented in the next couple of weeks or so... In fact I'll be probably left with nothing to do every evening as the Poker will be running too smoothly to require any of my input and there will be nothing to come on here and complain about...

For anyone who reads this and doesn't know what I'm talking about - here goes...

Several people, including CHA5, Velvet, Hog, etc have been rightly concerned that Wireplay staff might not love Club Captains as much as we say we do.

I can understand why they might think that, as we have been letting ourselves get so busy that we have not put enough time into managing things like these message boards.

Just so everyone knows we have been doing this with good reason - we want to give you all a better service long term - but I think we did drop the ball for a bit too long.

Club Captains, I trust that you have James' E Mail and you now know what we have been busily dicussing for serveral days. Before the conspiracy theorist get me (and I'd deserve it I'm sure) this is not just an off the cuff answer.

If your are not a Club Captain, you might well wonder what I am going on about. Well we just suggested about some practical actions that Wireplay can take to help everyone feel that they are getting genuine support rather than marketing twaddle. I won't tell all, because most of the stuff is only relevant if you are a club captains themselves.

Seriously, I would like to hear what Club Captains think of our proposals - but perhaps it would be better if you EMailed me direct.

Despite the Colin McRae Rally Club being setup for nearly a month the official club and chatroom was still not listed (and still isnt, but i'm holding my breath http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/wink.gif).

My first newsletter announcing the first tourny wasn't posted until after the tourny was supposed to have taken place, and was only posted after a phonecall, during which the person on the other end of the phone (no names..)agreed to change the date to the following week, but didn't. Despite a further email requesting the date to be changed, this still didnt happen.

My second report was only posted on the website, but surely the priority must be to have them published on the Wireplay service???

My third report wasn't even posted!!!

Having said all that I still love you all, no hard feelings etc etc...
and my comments on your proposals is in the post, well it will be soon.
