Become the UK & Ireland's first Pokemon Master in the Pokemon Championship 2000! Here's the gen on this summer's Nintendo Pokemon Tour, direct from Nintendo:

Let's Get Ready To Rumble!
With all of the entries counted and the selection finalised, enrolment is now officially closed. Around 2000 out of a million Pokemon Game Boy hopefuls have been specially picked to compete in the big one. Forget glory at Euro 2000 or a Gold in Sydney - all kids dream of these days is becoming a Pokemon Master. Now the ball starts rolling. The nationwide search for the UK's ultimate Pokemon Master commences on the Nintendo Pokemon Tour.

After months of hard training, the time is nigh. The Pokemon Championship 2000 will begin in July, and by September the UK will have its first ever Pokemon Master. Regional qualifying heats will kick off on July 15th 2000 and hit a total of 14 regional venues on the Nintendo Pokemon Tour. Our country will watch with baited breath as our boys and girls battle for supremacy. Battles will be held between each trainer's chosen Pokemon from their own Red and Blue games on N64's Pokemon Stadium. Each winner will realise their dream by representing their region in the prestigious UK Pokemon Championship Finals, to be staged in London during September 2000.

For those not competing there is still the opportunity to get involved in all sorts of other Pokemon paraphernalia. Mew - the secret 151st Pokemon - will be available to be downloaded at every event, so bring your Game Boy. No collection is complete without Mew and a special area will be set aside to cope with the expected heavy numbers. Players can also visit the Games Arena where it all happens. All the Pokemon games will be there including Pokemon Stadium, and the yet-to-be-released Pokemon Snap. Players can also train and trade on Red, Blue & Yellow with other PokeTrainers. Fulfil your dream.
