    1) Define the value of the enormity of dementia a bag of arachnids contains.

While there is no set-in-stone way to obtain an accurate evaluation of such a figure, many important arachnodementologists have attributed significance to volume of bag (v) and the length of spiders' legs relative to their mass (l/m). Agitation of spiders, such as by swinging the bag around on a rope for a period of time (lt/2pi), must also be taken into account if any degree of accuracy is desired.

Therefore, a 1.5dm^3 bag filled with spiders of leglength/mass figure 6.4, and swung around on a seven metre rope for 4 hours, the madness quotient R is:

    1.5 * 6.4 * (700 * 14400)/2pi = rather a lot.

    2) Name, giving reasons for your choice, the species of arachnid used for your description in the above example.

While there is much to be said for the tarantula due to its ability to act on its agitation via venom, its leglength/mass figure is simply prohibitively low. Therefore the common house spider is the arachnid of choice for these purposes.

    Christ, I'm bored.

DCLXVI: 1) 4/5 (absence of exact figure in calculation.)
    2) 4/4
