    Well, hello then merp community

I'm Eqvinox on irc aswell, as some of you could notice, i've been sitting on the channel for some time sporadically. I was encouraged to buy the game by your in-rp talks even on irc, what could only prove that the merpuk server is one of the top class nwn rp server there is - surely a place to be.

NWN and your server is my second experience in cRP online. My first was and is Freelancer game, on the Jolt's server, where i've been playing for about 2 years. My current clan, the Templar, has proven itself over the time to be one of the greatest RP clans on Jolt, which was eventually awarded by the 'RP award' we received. To anyone interested in having a peek at our deeds, here's our clan webpage: http://www.templarclan.net/ . Unfortunately the mentioned server is having yet another hard time, it's difficult to organise anything, meet other rp'ers ingame... And so i come to thee ;D

I love what you did to the game, it is like it's no longer nwn ;] The beautiful Shire, the majestic Mirkwood, these are the places i explored so far - and i am very impressed. I'm looking forward to see the whole Middle Earth.

My current character is a goblin ranger and i'll stay with this one as my evil side. As for a goodie i didn't decided yet what char i'd like to play.

I'm looking forward, and can't wait to see some great rp experience, memorable events, glorious battles, lovely acting and of course, to make friends

    Cheers,
    Eqvinox

Welcome to UTT, Eqvinox! I hope you'll come to enjoy this server as much as we do; it's good to hear that you are already feeling so positive about it. It's a good idea to have a character of each alignment, since there is quite a lot of fluctuation in what the 'alignment of the day' is. Sometimes it seems as though there are only evils on; other times those same evils feel lonely because the world seems populated by elves and other 'goodies.'

I look forward to encountering you in Middle Earth and hope you make many friends during your time with us.

Apologies Eqvinox if I acted abit stupid earlier. ( I'm T0mc4t89 and I was playing Jake Kolwer ) My evil char just isn't the type to be very helpful towards orcs so he isn't good in any pr-skills especially with them. Anyways, after Yavanna's persuasions I decided to give it another try and you seemed very nice.

Have fun spending the rewards from that quest! And welcome to the server. If you ever wish to ask help from me, just ask through Tells.

Hello there, I've been playing NWN for about a year now on a Dragonlance server and have gotten very tired of powergaming being passed off as RP (by some, not all the players) and have decided to search for greener pastures... a decision I do not take lightly as I leave behind many friends and a guild that I created from scratch. I have hesitated to play on a Middle Earth server because frankly I don't think NWN translates to well to setting with the breadth, depth and spendour of Middle Earth. I've decided to give it a try however after rereading the Silmarillion in preperation for reading The Children of Hurin. Although my Middle Earth lore is not quite on par with my knowlege of Dragonlance I hope not to embaress myself too much as I am an old hand of pnp MERP. I look forward to meeting you all ingame.

    Welcome Lothondar!

Tales like yours about "Roleplay Servers" not being as described are pretty common. In many ways its how this community started and attracted its audience.

Creating a Middle Earth module is very tough as you quite rightly say, its not an easy translation. It's even harder to make a good Middle Earth module, but im pretty impressed with what we've achieved here.

Anyway, weclome and fear not if you believe your short on Middle Earth lore. The module has been designed to educate aswell as entertain. A number of players can attest to that.

We are very keen to welcome new players like yourself at this time, so we will try and make sure you get some company as you begin your game.

You will find our IRC channel most helpful for any queries you may have. It's #wpnwn on quakenet.

One will find there is always more to learn, what is important is the will to do so. You sound as though you have much to bring to us, you will find we have much to offer in return. If One is interested in player guilds, you will find there are many options and opportunities, but one must choose wisely.....

    Welcome

Hullo hullo! I just popped in to greet you all! I have had immensely good times on this server (thanks goes to timppako for guiding me here). So far everything has looked great, there is truly a great middle-earth feeling here and I can't wait to explore beyond Eriador. My characters (currently) are Glaìn and Serendur so atleast wave a hand to 'em if you see them (btw that is Serendur's portrait on the left).

Good to have you Jarmov. I believe a couple of my my characters have had brief meetings with the Grump Brothers (Glain and his bro). Glad you are having such positive experiences here, and look forward to more chances to rp with you.

    Right then..., a first post.

You may have already bumped into me as I roam about the Shire (or even sometimes as far as Bree!!) with my lovely Cousin Rosie...

I just thought that I'd pop in and say a big HI to you guys. I have to admit that I'm REALLY enjoying MERP UK and hope to be around for a while.

Everyone I've chatted to in the brief time that I've been visiting the server have been top-notch! Thanks guys, for providing a very high standard of RP. Other games I've played (I played txt MUME for a while) did aspire to an RP philosophy, but were let down occasionally by some of the players... not here though.

Just had a great time on the Barrow Downs! I'll be hopefully posting tomorrow in the IC section about what me and Rosie have been up to (Many thanks to DM_Sauron for facilitating).

Right I'm off to bed. Hail and well met.

    Perren S.
