    Basic Map?

Has anyone any suggestion where I can get a basic map over the area? Up until now Ive used the maps in the books, but the bigger the world gets the harder it is to find your way around. Im not asking for a detailed map over quests and the like, just one slightly better than the ones in the books.

the mod is pretty much built using those maps as reference. i cant see how you could go too far wrong using them as a guide

Agreed Doomnair - especially when you are a new player and try to play a 100 years old elf who should know better. Or when you want to gather up a party at an area which is unknown to some players.
The announcement: "We do not have to follow the road to the shire, there is another but frightening way crossing the old forest", willl keep you unsatisfied when you have to realize the mod doesn't provide that opportunity (anymore).
For that reason i started to map the aboveground areas. Makes it much easier to play a scout who can propose alternative routes.
I dont know the development team's policy on that though. If its okay with you i can share it once it is finished (in a few months, i am lazy) or even in progress (I only have 3/4 of the Bree/Shire so far).
To realize truth you have to doubt before...

Best chances to meet in game (GMT): 20:00-23:00 on weekdays, randomly at weekends

By all means let us have a look -- I suspect such a map would be interesting to most of the devs

Well, a map with all the small maps on it is interesting.

Actually Ive found a rather nice map that is easy to print out in A3 black and white. Map of Middle Earth . It is free to use, pretty nice details and the print out gets really nice.
